I started working on the bridge today.

I've got these saddles, and I'm waiting on screws and spacers. I did cut down the base from a "U" channel piece of aluminum. I drilled one hole for the adjustment screw on that one saddle, just to make sure I have the height correct. I'll need to wait for the spacers to drill the rest of the screw holes. I'm not sure how long or wide the base will end up to be, but I'd like it to be as small as possible. I'd also like to set the whole base in a wood "acoustic bridge-like" carrier. But I wouldn't be opposed to just use the piece of aluminum as is. As you can probably tell, I'm kind of making this up as I go along.

The bridge is pretty close to the final dimensions.

That took a lot of filing and time on the belt sander. I still have to order some screws to mount the neck, and I still have not decided how I'll deal with that. 3" #8 oval head stainless steel screws are not easy to come by, so I may just drill out the neck holes to like a 1.5" depth and use 2 inch screws or the like.

The bridge looks great. Excellent work @mapleglo .

Side dot material arrived today from StewMac.

As usual for StewMac, shipping was literally twice as much as the items, but they were delivered on time, and they had them in stock. I probably should have just gone to the local hobby shop to see if they had something comparable, or to the wood store for some 1/8" walnut dowel, but I couldn't be bothered. Laziness costs...

The 3mm 3d doodler pen sticks work great and come in pretty much any color you could want.

What is this stuff? I've never heard of it.
It's designed for these

It's basically a more precise hot glue gun designed for "drawing" in 3d. The filament is around 3mm comes in basically any color and works great for fretboard side dots. Make sure to get the 3mm (2.84mm) filament and not the 1.75mm filament, unless you want smaller side dots.
