What about something like this?

But you could layer some decorative wood over the sound holes...Since I don't have a compressor, a gloss black is not in the cards.

The bridge is pretty close to the final dimensions.

That took a lot of filing and time on the belt sander. I still have to order some screws to mount the neck, and I still have not decided how I'll deal with that. 3" #8 oval head stainless steel screws are not easy to come by, so I may just drill out the neck holes to like a 1.5" depth and use 2 inch screws or the like.
Side dot material arrived today from StewMac.

As usual for StewMac, shipping was literally twice as much as the items, but they were delivered on time, and they had them in stock. I probably should have just gone to the local hobby shop to see if they had something comparable, or to the wood store for some 1/8" walnut dowel, but I couldn't be bothered. Laziness costs...
The 3mm 3d doodler pen sticks work great and come in pretty much any color you could want.
That's what I've used in the past, but epoxy would work. Even just wood glue would probably be ok, PLA is fairly porous as plastics go. If you drill the hole the right size no glue is needed especially if you put a finish over the top of them. That’s cool.
lots of possibilities there.
Is superglue the adhesive for these?
What is this stuff? I've never heard of it.It even comes in Pink!
