Mothman has quite a history here at TB

I am now fully up to date on Mothman, anyone know where I can get that half hour back?
If you are so inclined, I have heard that Mothman has the power of time shifting. If you become "best buds", you might get that 1/2 hour back. You might loose your life as well. Just sayin

You know, I was not planning on any builds in the next year or two for various reasons, but I would totally be in a Mothman build-off.
Many do not know the power of the Mothman, but he has been known to compel people to do strange things. Well look what I found in my drawings pile...
Rescaled and stretched to fit on a 14x22" blank...I didn't get as far as a headstock. This was one of my mashup ideas tossed aside...
^ when I drew it up, it seemed to be the best size with a 26.25" scale length. No matter how I drew it up, I kept coming back to that scale and wondered why it had ever been built as a bass. I was just doing some conversions to metric and lo and behold... 26.25" x 25.4 (for conversion to mm) = 666.75mm ...
I think the only way to really make it work (yours looks cool headless) is to abandon the original body shape and instead take elements from it to something more ergonomic. The lower bouts do seem to lend themselves to a headless tuning mech. Do away with the sharp cutout waist, shrink and offset the horns. The overlay of bloodwood with cutouts revealing the body wood beneath is slick, could do some cool things aesthetically with that.
If my math is correct a 26.25" scale Mothman would "only" weight 14.99 lbs.

My original mashup plan was 1/2" roundover, seafoam green and a white pearloid pickguard... "What if Fender made the Mothman?"
I'm thinking I'd down size the body and neck width and extend the scale maybe make it headless.
