Winter NAMM 2018 (ultra Pic-heavy)

So let's make a list:
Of all the basses shown, you want a?

It would have been Sadowsky MetroExpress if they had a P
Maybe a copy of my 60' P?
I don't want or need another Fender or MM

I guess I'm good on basses and didn't see anything else to dream about except for Baer or Bergantino products.
Could this really be a short GAS list since there isn't much new for 2018? (IMO)

My favorite new Ibanez. It's gorgeous.

That's a difficult question (and we're on Page 30) of this thread right now. Off the top of my head:

Sadowsky Metroline Express 5-String

Rickenbacker 5-String

Ibanez has 3 this year that I liked:
  • Ibanez Affirma (It says Prototype, but we should flood Ibanez with requests to release it)
  • Ibanez SR2600 series, but sort of hoping they will add a 6-string next year.
  • Ibanez SRSC806 Singlecut SoundGear
F Bass had a number of beauties as usual.

Kiesel now has 3 models of Headless basses (Osiris, Zeus, & Vader). I like them all!

CRAP! I never made it to their booth. Please give my apologies. It got lost in the shuffle.

Ah, no worries - you were a busy guy! Next year - and heck, I might even make an appearance next year!

Another big shout out. I was there for 3 days and didn’t see half of what you captured in your pics. Major props to Wintremute.

Part of the reason for that is I also spend lots of time looking at keyboards, PA, lighting, mics, I get multi-sources of GAS at NAMM.

You're muti-talented blessed and cursed my friend!

There is literally not enough space to list every bad to the bone thing I’ve seen in this thread. Not to mention I’d need a 7 figure salary to afford it all.
@wintremute ......... I don’t think I could say thank you enough for all the pictures and information you have given all of us. We are in your gratitude.

I'd like to add my thanks to wintremute for this thread and for all the work it took to produce it.
I'm a little worried though. I made it through 30 pages of NAMM stuff and... no GAS! That is so out of character for me. I'd hate to think that I'm showing signs of maturity. o_O

I *would* like to know more about Langstrom Carrot Farms though.

be sure to get a side of biscuits and gravy with your chicken and waffles. drool

Nah, he wimped out with a mere 1/4 chicken and a waffle. But I went for the fried chicken and cheese omelet plus a waffle. Lunch, who needs it?

As it happened, Bartt Warburton was there, who took a few minutes to play while I tested out the bass uke. How impressive is that, here I am, a lowly mediocre bass uke player jamming with the likes of Ukulele Bartt. Cali shot a video, but I don't know where she uploaded it. As soon as I find out, I'll post it.

Here's the video Cali shot. We actually didn't work on it before, this was very spontaneous. Sorry for the flubs, the fate of a mediocre bass player.

SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY! Ten bucks buys you the whole seat, but you'll only need the edge!

I walked into the Convention Center from a different spot, and noticed Tokai tucked away. As I was taking pictures, a lady asked who I was with. I was trying to explain what TalkBass was, when she asked if I'd met the President of Tokai. I told her I had not, so she went and got him. I asked him to pose with a bass, and he was also one of those people who needed to be told to smile. Very pleasant gentleman.
