Winter NAMM 2019 (ultra Pic-heavy)

A few oddball moments I stumbled into on Saturday at NAMM

Eventide Booth Jam (Doug Wimbish w Taz & more)

Gizmotron Demo

Useful Arts Booth Bass Jam

James Nash at the Santa Cruz Guitars Booth

For true NAMM realism: play all these videos at the same time while looking at all these great photos from @wintremute.

Thanks again, sir, for a great thread!

huh..correct me if I'm wrong but NAMM allowed a counterfeit company to showcase there ?I see a fake ass Ric , JH could have slapped a C&D on them right there and faker Smith ,Lakland , Ibby , Kala & whatelse ?

You'd think right? Vox too, like Ric their new owners are very aggressive going after copies.

You are being corrected: They are not 'counterfeit' if they are not passing themselves on as something they are not.
None of these basses have names on the headstock as the ones you have listed.

While they certainly are 'in the style of' the basses you have listed they are copying the style but they are not 'counterfeit' as they are not claiming to be any of those brands and feature their own brand on their headstocks.

Can someone run by Kala and ask what the steel flatwound string are on one of their UBass demo's are ? I heard a guy. They sounded great and stupidly I forgot to ask where I could order... still flats, the correct length, with silks and all... I would love a set of those...
