GR Bass
Next stop is GR Bass to see if Remco is going to be playing at their booth this year. Last year at the end of the show I ended up purchasing a 2x12 slim in white leather (soooooooo sexy), and only 42 pounds. Well I find out that 1) No Remco at their booth this year, and 2) they now have a 2x12 that is only 28 pounds!
A pic of me holding it:

On Sunday I went back to compare the new cab to my 2x12. We set them up side-by-side and plugged one amp into both of them. I went about 20 feet away and started playing. I was waiting for them to switch from my cab to the new cab. It turns out, they were switching while I was playing, and I didn't even notice. So, the new super-light cab plays sounds just as good as mine. BAH! I CAN'T AFFORD MORE CABS!!!
I was blissfully amp/cab GAS free until I saw this. A 900w 212 that weighs 28lbs and 1200w 410 that weighs 33lbs!

! I gotta check that out...Alex Lofoco showed me his "Scale Colour System" book. I liked the visual of coloring intervals. Very clever. Also, the book was pretty good quality, with a ring binder instead of a normal spine.

I've been checking that out. It looks pretty innovative and informative.
I thought I'd get a feel for the Rickenbacker, but the "guardian" had been there non-stop. But he was being pretty talkative, so I thought I could sneak over and check it out.

No dice. Kicked out of the booth and the dude was looking for security.

Honestly, you'd think, by now, as world famous as you are, they'd let you at least fondle one of their bass thingy's...

Once again, thank you so much for the glimpse into NAMM-world! You and @scubaduba have done a great service to the whole TB community! It is much appreciated! I'm hoping that I can get a few of my industry contacts to hook a brotha' up with an invite to next year's festivities. If not, I can always look forward to your adventures! I'm glad that you actually got to enjoy more of the activities that go along with NAMM. Thanks so much, and enjoy that rest, you've earned it!
