Yeah, I'm not really into expensive basses (I prefer my $300 stuff), but Serek is one of the few that I seriously consider.

It's MARVIN Guitars, not Martin! Marvin is the brand name of Keith Horne. His shop is in the same building as mine, across the hall. We've been working together for years, helping each other out.

The blue 10-string is indeed a beast. I made the bridge and pickups for it. It's still available for sale at the moment, we just unpacked it this morning.

Thank you for pointing that out. I'll see if I can get a mod to edit that.

I saw that bass last year in Vegas as part of a pre-NAMM boutique tour. It was pretty cool.

Hey Wintermute

Just my two cents, I have really appreciated all that you have done for this forum over the past couple of years. It's really so far above and beyond. I am so grateful. After being a NAMM regular, I no longer feel the need to even bother. Especially when I can sit back with my feet up - a nice adult beverage and snack in hand - and watch the show unfold: the show that you so diligently create by posting all your hard work for us to see.

I am so glad that you managed (hopefully) to have a much more fabulous time this year, by waiting until today to post your precious pics. I for one, really do appreciate it. Hey I would wait a couple of weeks if that is what it takes to see the pics - no hurry here, it's always worth it - and I am not in any rush. And, I must say - as a foodie - I enjoy the food postings at least as much as gazing at yet another Fender clone. It's very comforting to me that our guy is eating his heart out while in L.A. So I for one, am a big fan - and I will scour the postings religiously as long as they appear on my interwebs. Best to you and THANKS again!

I am totally glad I went this later posting route, too. I would have missed a lot of hanging out with Tony and his crew (which included random honking/flipping people off/yelling "I'm from Boston"-all at the same time) and those great nighttime shows (especially seeing Ana Karina funk it up with Nik West). This is definitely the better way to do it. Much less stress, a bit more sleep, and way more memories.

Awesome...thanks wintremute!!! Question...on the first page of this beautiful thread...the GR Bass booth, there is a white p bass and a black jazz with a bound neck and they both look to be the same brand.... but what brand????

I think it's the new MODERN VINTAGE basses being distributed by Sonata Marketing.

That's what I was wondering. I wouldn't have stopped to take a pic of their booth except that bass really caught my eye. But then I was drawn to something else, and forgot to follow up. If you find out, please post it.

Are they releasing a Nikki Sixx Jazz Bass? I didn’t see anything on Schecter’s web site. Not particularly fond of his playing but I’d pick that bad boy up in a heart beat.

Did you get a photo of the back of the white fretless Ritter with no tuning keys??

I guess GK were no a show?? I thought the timing would be perfect for their newly announced Fusion S series, which I am gassing for.

Great to see all the innovation. Just wish there were more lefties from Ibanez and everyone else.
