To be fair, 40min of Bethel Worship is just two songs, when you factor in the spontaneous worship and falling glory dust. Maybe start with something a little more radio-friendly like Hillsong or Chris Tomlin, though personally I've been over Tomlin for a few years now. He's the godfather of modern . . . maybe post-modern . . . worship, but he's evolved into oblivion.

Lot of good points here. I agree that 9.9 out of 10 congregation members will not hear a difference between a SLO, Starlifter, Oracle, Noble, Trickfish or whatever.

I would not agree with the logic of buying the Noble because you get a preamp and pedalboard power supply. The versatility of a power supply like the CIOKS DC7 is in another league. If you only use 9 volt pedals, well then maybe the Noble is sufficient.

The Effectrode LA-1A is a killer compressor and one of the few that I think sounds good with any bass into any preamp (at least all I have tried). It is worth the coin to me just for how it feels when playing (regardless of whether the congregation can tell it's on).

Credit learning from @scubaduba about the Cioks DC7 + Cioks 8800 adapter cable trick for the LA-1A...

Been a long awhile, but I don't recall having to purchase the red pos cable (which is also needed)...thought I got one of those in the DC7 box???

If not, they're not much money, and easy to find...

I'm going to try my Sadowsky again. Before I had the LA-1A we liked the way it sounded. I can only imagine the LA-1A will make anything sound even better.

A newer Presonus I believe. Although the sound guy would like something newer with more channels Presonus or otherwise. The cover band has a rack mount Presonus board. I'm sure it has phantom. I'm going to use my Sadowsky instead of buying a RNDI at least for now. No one will really notice between them. The Sadowsky is a nice preamp/DI as well.

I don't have much opportunity for delivery any more. I mean strings and stuff, but nothing major. I'm guessing this is the last big thing for a while. Until I need a bigger board as my Nano is too small...or a high class power supply for the high class pedals....or...

I know. Part of me is like, just put them all in a bag and lay them on the floor and plug them in to a power strip. Not sexy at all, but cheap. I don't move around much. They stay at church until I have a cover gig. We only play 1-2 times a month. But the ease of having one power supply that runs them all and one cable to plug in...I'm a sucker for simple and clean.
