Love my Julia. I figured when I bought it that I could easily resell but it's probably the last effect I'd sell. It was the first and only chorus I bought. I like to buy once and be done when possible so researched first and love it. sometimes run it almost dry and sometimes almost full vibrato- but usually Nirvana style- in the middle with dirt in front lol.

I really have to stop looking at Effects [BG] Forum, and just be happy with what I have. Sound guys and bandmates say my tone sounds great, but there are cool things in this forum... LOL... I really need to replace my cheap gig bag... don't want to regret an accident with my 84' Fender. The seam on the bag looks like it's getting wider every weekend.

Sunday office today... 1st day using my XBASS custom Sennheiser body pack cable by @ExaltBass. The length is perfect... and the cable looks and feels like it will a long time last compared to the stock cable.

The VTBass DI is only used to boost the bass into my Sub amp going to my Bassboard. The KHAN goes to my Personal mixer and FOH mixer.

On my front panel of my silent stage rig... The top XLR is from the VTBass DI to the sub amp then to the Bassboard, and the bottom XLR is the input from the KHAN to my Personal mixer, and FOH mixer:

at the moment, yes. I would have been adding pedals to those anyways and decided to just get the stomp to simplify things. I still haven't got to play around with it as much as I'd like, so it's still pretty new to me. The hx stomp is a powerful piece of equipment with a lot of capability, far more than I will use.

The stomp and a good DI (in my case, the khan vtdi) sounds great in my IEM's.

I had the same question, so I started experimenting. I needed more mids to push forward with my band, so I bought a few mini mid boosters, and ended up not needing them because of the other pedals I put in front of it. My (sculpting) chain is: sFx MicroThumpinator>Land Devices PRE>Doc Lloyd PDR>Crazy Tube Circuits Locomotive>Noble. Seems to be pretty much perfect. I even ran my active bass through it and had to put my EQ flat, with only the slightest high-mid bump.

Thanks. I am loving the tone that I'm getting with the comp and Noble. If I went the EQ route, it would be more of a 'just-in-case' type of thing. I'm used to running a DI to the house, but I've always had my amp (with it's own EQ) as a monitor. The Noble EQ seems perfect, but I'm not sure what to expect with IEM and no amp. The Empress seems like a great addition, but I'm not sure if it's worth the cost if I won't use it much. I may look into the first edition one to save a few bucks, but still get the quality.

I am not using it to its full potential, either, but the stuff I'm using sounds great. I just added a Sushi Box Finally to the end of my chain. Roughs up that pure signal a little bit.

When I had a REDDI I used an Empress Bass Compressor and the ParaEQ Mk II Deluxe and that eq pedal made all the difference. Yes, it's expensive, but you already forked out for a Noble so...if I ever go back to an "analog" board instead of my Stomp, I'd have both those Empress pedals on it for sure.

Haha. Part of the problem is that I DID already fork out for the Noble. It sounds great on it's own. One of the reasons that I like it is because the EQ is so simple but so effective. If I had the Empress, I would probably leave it flat and adjust on the fly as - or if - needed. I'm also wondering how simple it would be to adjust quickly. I know the Source Audio gets a lot of love on TB, but it just doesn't fit in with my style.

You might consider the SA EQ2. It is a little cheaper than the Empress, in that it has a great Tuner, Limiter and noise gate built into it, and unlimited EQing options.
