Worship Bass Pedalboards

Not sure this answers directly but may be helpful, if you haven't already come across it.
Does anyone use the microkorg for worship synth bass worship are there any good settings for worship? I keep seeing them pop up used and they are fairly compact…sorry if this doesn’t fit here.
Yeah, the IMA SIG preset has those 3 effects so without even changing presets you have a decent “synth bass” available to you. I use that for a number of things.
I used the MicroSynth in the past and found that I could hear a click or glitch when it cycled, for lack of a better word. Has that improved or is it just lost in the mix?
Also, I don’t think the Helix octaves track well. It seems gated to me. I’ve put gain patches in front to make sure it isn’t a signal issue.

The Jellyfish seems to be identical to the Free the Tone “Bass Blaster” BB-2, which I’ve been using for a few years. I’d be very curious to hear a comparison between the two.
How so?
From sound clips you've heard of the Jellyfish vs the sounds you get out of your FTT BB-2?
Or do you have some source that suggests the circuits are the same?
The circuits seem to be the same, but I could be wrong. The designs are so similar, and Jellyfish samples I’ve heard sound very similar to my BB-2, which isn’t a bad thing at all.
Gotcha. Having had the FTT stuff myself, yet only having heard YouTube Demos of the Jellyfish it's difficult to say for sure but I think they sound pretty different...
Even across various YT demos of the Jellyfish, if I were to do a blind test I might think that I was listening to different pedals. I think a lot of that comes down to the other equipment being used in the recording process. The Wetter Bass demo of the Jellyfish is divergent from the other demos out there... It sounds VERY different from the FTT to my ears. AND, it's darn tasty.... It's the demo that has me GAS'ing to try one, while I'm very 'meh' about the sounds I hear from the other demos on YT.
I played the first service using the usual IMA SIG but thought it could be better. I went to the Ultimate DI with a little more compression I think the most of Ian’s presets. Bam. Sounded great.
Exactly how I felt. Adding the regal di in front of the retro reel fixed it for me.
I had one a long time ago. I don’t remember much about the bass tones. Have you looked into the Novation Bass Station? They look pretty compact.

Thanks. I read the manual and I’m reading a separate book about synths. It’s starting to make a lot more sense. It’s easy enough to twist knobs for a few minutes to get a nice tone. But once I know what/why/how they do and how changing one thing effects other parameters, I’ll be in a better place.

In regard to stomps octavers, I think they track decently. I still left an OC5 on my board going into a line selector that can run into the stomp if I want it to. I found running one of the stomps compressors before octave helped.
I used IAM as a baseline to make my own patches and have found improvements that suit my needs pretty well. I need long sustain, so I bumped the ratio to 10:1. Worked great for a service, but noticed i lost a lot of low end. So I just figured out how to run the compressors parallel (am I using that correctly? Dragged the compressors down under the signal path...) either way, kept the sustain and reintroduce some low end and all the lovely articulation that got lost.
I downloaded Tanner Eriksons presets hoping I'd get that big, Microsynth sound. It's really didn't work for me. I didn't like what I was getting from it. That said, Ian Allison's Supersoaker (after having toned down the frequency and added a simple eq at the end to dial in some deeper low end) was a huge success.
I'm looking at downloading Bryce Vaughns synthetic pack. There's some tones there's I think will work for some originals we're working on.

Of course! Hard to find a better tune for it. I once played with a synth bass, and a sampler for the “ohs”. Had a blast.
