I must say Bahumbug on smaller boards! MORE power guys! I think we are all probably empty nesters so this is our time!! You both need 36" boards!
Haha. Yeah, everything is temporary with pedal boards. In the past, I've posted that I was going small and staying small and nothing you say can....oh, look, another cool pedal, gotta go bigger to fit this one. I mean, I'm going with a small board now, and the pedals are hanging off both sides, so the next cool thing to come along will push me bigger. My max is probably 18x12 though.
The thing is, I'm really happy with my dry sound, which I think is in large part due to the Noble. Then I'll add stuff like eqs and comps and always on drives, and it sounds good, but it loses some of what I like about the Noble. So, I'm kind of fighting against myself--or maybe a better way to say it is that I'm trying to find a balance and I end up losing things I like about both pedals. So, I'm just playing around with the idea of stripping back and seeing what works and what doesn't. But, whatever I come up with will by no means be my last board iteration.
I'm almost at empty nester status. I have 2.5 years before the kids are off to college. That flew by...
That's the house board!! Sounds like a complete set-up. Our bass player rotation would be overwhelmed with this, LOL.
@projectapollo Do you use hex one's tuner on your small board? Is it convenient?
Good perspective! Yeah, I should get over myself and just go with the larger lovely Mono I put together. I certainly like its tilt back design to see and stomp more easily. The WL's at my big home church love my bigger board and are very encouraging. I will focus on that......I must say Bahumbug on smaller boards! MORE power guys! Yes, I'm a Peterson stobostomp snob, but the HX One tuner works quite well. I do feel like eliminating the Peterson and going to a small board removed my quality input buffer, though. With my present 18" arrangement, the first buffer in the signal chain is the Tone Hammer at the end. But I don't hear any obvious difference. But with my passive P bass, I'd prefer to hit a buffer earlier.

Have any of you lovely folk had success or failure with the Origin Super Vintage? I have just bought one as was wondering what your experiences might be, especially with the cab sim… (I think I like it but still making my mind up)
@projectapollo had one a while back. I got to try it out, but I didn't spend significant time with it.
I liked the Super Vintage a lot. The XLR cab sim sounded good in FOH and IEMs. I used variations of the stadium stack settings. I found that it was tricky to use with upstream octavers and the bass microsynth (with the SV's bright switch on). So, I reverted back to the Tone Hammer for its handling of those things. @MikoFX used it just as a drive pedal using the 1/4" out (no cab sim).

Thanks guys, I did some more sound checking with it at church last night and I think I am going to run the Super Vintage for while to see how I get on.
It definitely sounds a lot bigger in the lows compared to the Tonehammer and I think the top end is a little sweeter. I didn't particularly like the ultra high but did like a boost to the treble control for a little air and the 800/3k mids are great with a subtle boost. It handles the Grizzly very nicely too.
Haven't tried a BMS or Octaver with it yet, but I could see why they might not work as well as with the Tonehammer.
Really like that for the first time my tone sounds really sweet even at with the drive around 12o clock, there is no harshness in the sound at all even when using a pick.
The Bass control is quite powerful and instead of running a slight boost I have gone back to flat which has given some nice definition.
Got home and adjusted the amp eq settings to replicate roughly what I had at church (minus the massive low end from the subs) and all seemed good!
Am playing this weekend with a fantastic team and a great variety o songs so am looking forward to giving it another go.
Am particularly looking forward to getting a good IEM sound again, that was amazing last time!

I would love to get into my church for a few hours and so some sound sculpting. We've been talking about it, so I hope it's coming soon. We have a bass heavy mix, which is great, but I think there are a few things that are missing in the bass tone. I'm not really complaining. I just think we could squeeze out a few % more out of each instrument.

I am fortunate that I am a key holder and also head the sound team which makes this really easy. One of my daughters is grade 8 on drums and will often join me so that we can make sure the two instruments are working well together. If you can get one of your drummers to join you that would be hugely beneficial
Can you run your system from an iPad?
The whole team is interested in doing it. I think it's only a matter of time. Our system is a little more than a year old, and there are so many features that we are digging into. They are constantly working on new stuff. The house mix sounds good right now, so it's not an 'emergency'. It's mostly hyper specific stuff that I'd like to eventually dial in. But, I think when it's all added up, it will make a difference.
