Nice! The manual for the Moogs are one of the few manuals that have been super helpful.

As @projectapollo says, I used the Super Vintage as a Drive. I wasn't a huge fan of it's cabsim & with how well it does dirt it just made sense, especially since I was happy with my clean tone.
From there I swapped it out for the Revival Drive due to the improved footprint. I would have been happy if it had been 80% as good as the SV for dirt... Much to my surprise it was even better by a wide margin.
And then, despite the Revival Drive being my current favorite drive, I had some other goals I wanted to accomplish with this board so I ultimately arrived here.

I had a super pre last year, it is an astonishingly good piece of gear!
Why did you not like about the cabism on the super vintage?

Just got back from sound checking my board at church with the drums.
The Bassrig SV is absolutely stunning, it is so fat and clear but doesn’t stomp all over the kick drum. It is literally the best live sound I have ever had, can’t see me going back to a regular preamp or DI after this! Origin effects have done a stunning job on the cabism, the eq is perfect, and the drive is so good!
So looking forward to tomorrow’s service

Pretty exciting to land on some great tone! That cab sim bass roll-off really punches yet makes room for the kick. It's the only cab sim I've ever heard that actually sounds good. Another TB member on the P&W thread just posted a play through video using just the BassRig '64 XLR out and it sounded awesome, as well.

I use the XLR at church and the 1/4 out at home. (I took the photo at home when I got back)
The separate eq for the 1/4 out is pretty cool. I set my tone up for church using the main eq and then tune to my combo at home using the cab eq. I now have a pretty consistent tone between home and church, obviously minus the massive oomph of the church subs!

I actually seen you post a while back, and was tempted to do the same... but I really want to start planning my pedalboard updates. I've had cream colored DiMarzio's that matched the aged yellowish body color, but I've been wanting to change to black pup's for a while. Nothing against white pup's, but this bass has only ever had white pups since I bought it over 40 years ago.
I ended up watching vids, and listening to demo's... and thought pup's are still part of tone, so I pulled the trigger. I ordered my Lollars with new vol/tone pots, 1/4" jack, wires, and cap... and received my order this morning. Wiring and soldering is fun to me, so it made sense to replace 40 year old pots, and wiring.
I love the way it looks now. Looks and sounds like I have a new bass... sounds really good. I've been playing it, and it's getting late. I need to go to sleep... haha... Can't wait to use it tomorrow. Now that this is done... I'll be planning my pedalboard updates next.
Was it a huge change in tone? I have a Jazz bass and a box of new pickups here. And I’m wondering if it will be enough of a change. I guess there’s only one way to find out, but I’m interested in other opinions.

That's funny as my P Bass only wore Black Pickup covers so I swapped to the white
.I'm with you when I got home with the Lollars installed it was hard to put the bass down.
Maybe not a huge change in tone per say. But I would also describe it as a fairly stark upgrade to the tone if that makes sense. To my ear the V Mod ii pickups compared to the Lollars are darker, a bit more "muffled", and the E string didn't have as much authority.
The Lollars have a deeper yet clear low end, nice mid presence push, and are overall clearer and punchier. Again this is all to my ear
. I have absolutely zero regrets, and the upside is you can sell your old pickups if you so desire to make the experiment/upgrade even cheaper.

In my experience, standard wound boutique pickups are a little punchier and clearer. Aguilar 60’s series are my favorite. It’s enough of a difference for me to feel better about playing the bass, I doubt anyone else notices, but that translates into how I play enough for me to upgrade them.
Heck yeah that's awesome. Glad you were happy with the upgrade! Did you feel like you could tell a difference too with their harness/caps and such? I've considering upgrading those too, was curious if you could tell more adjustment in the tone knob for example.

I’m constantly going back and forth between the Origin DCX and Aguilar Tone Hammer as an always on tone shaper/drive.
It seems like I go back and forth every week. They each have their own thing and do it really well.
The kilt is so hard to beat as a fuzz/drive combo. I’ve paired a slight bass boost with the fx loop in the stomp to keep low end at unity instead of blending, but it’s mostly sub 80hz frequencies that are probably cut at the board anyway.
I’m now going into a neve RNDI that I leave at church.

Yes, I have the same thing on order. Gonna try that first. I think it will do the trick. I should’ve mentioned that as an option. I have the JHS Red Switch as well. I don’t like that it takes up a spot on my board.
