Ironically, that's what kept me away from the Stomp for so long…so much to learn. Analog and digital are different worlds for sure. I can't argue with the 'so much to buy' portion. Digital gets the win for shear number of options available within each effect type.

I'm sure you could get 99.99999% of the way there. For me, in addition to the great tone I get, I just like the entire package the Noble offers. I like being able to put it on a board and just plug in a tuner and compressor without needing a separate power supply. I like the bass treble eq it offers. I really like having the on/off switch on the Noble. Also, I use the compressor very sparingly, so I could just take the Noble and feel like I would have a great setup for playing at church. Just so convenient and practical. I also have a Khan that I used while I waited for the Noble. It sounds great. But I needed the power supply for my pedals. I needed an eq pedal. I wanted an on/off switch someplace on my board. I would never consider just taking the Khan and playing at church. But, with an eq it sounds great. I should also say I only play with a clean tone, alongside an acoustic guitar and cajon. If you use other effect pedals, maybe it's not as convenient? But like I said, you can always get your money back if you are patient and wait the 11 months. And you have the Khan while you wait!

I have not tried the Khan. I have the Sushi Box Neptunium and love it. It is really close to the Noble. There is a slight difference though. The Noble has a slightly better pillowy (is that a word?) sound in a live setting. Not enough of a difference for me to spend 3-4X for the Noble though. There are several comparison videos on YouTube. Those are really hard to tell the difference due to YouTube compression tech. The real difference is in a live setting.

The Khan is a bit more punchy than the Noble, whereas the Noble is a bit looser--which I like. It's all preference though. Is that going to translate to the sanctuary in a band mix? I don't know. But I do love having that tone in my in ears.

I tried the Khan with the Empress ParaEQ (before the 'bass' version came out) and I was really pleased with the results. I had considered going in that direction. Since you already have the Kahn, it's a nice option.

For me, it came down to the 'feel' of each pedal. They have a slightly different feel. That is one thing that I don't think can be duplicated.

Tell us more about the Caveman? It's priced well used and the videos I've seen sound good. I like the simplicity and the loop jacks.

I grabbed a JHS Colourbox off the classifieds last week and my first impressions are quite good. I can get the edge of breakup thing if I want it and the EQ is very very handy and good sounding. The transformers give it some give but not pillowy, I think. I think the Colourbox may excel at dialing in a good IEM EQ contour. I have the expensive Audio 64 molded in-ears and I'm not impressed with their EQ contour. The Colourbox could be the ticket. I'll try it in a couple of weeks.

The Caveman could win quite a few boxing matches. It's nice and punchy. A solid tone in a simple box. I like how tight it is on the low B especially when playing with a pick. It adds some clarity and definition. Ultimately, I decided that I didn't want that ALL the time across the whole bass. I can't really comment on the 'Neve in a box thing.' I've never played through a Neve board...or if I have, I don't remember.
It's a quick and tight, well made pre. I would be happy with one, if not for the Noble. I prefer it to the TH, Radial DI, Capo. I think the Caveman has more authority. It would be a hard choice between the Caveman and the Khan. They both have their pros. I might go with the Caveman just for convenience.
I've been thinking about trying it again, but I'm trying to behave with my GAS.

Yeah, if it's out in the house that's great, but as I do almost everything IEM that's where I want the best sound.

I like my Khan but it doesn't feel like my REDDI did.

I'm really excited for the Backburner Noise Chorus Pedal. It seems like the perfect chorus pedal for bass, lpf, hpf, and blend with top jacks! My only reservation is when I asked him how the reverb effect is controlled he said it's always on. Granted it's subtle, and was cool sounding with bass solo'd in the clip he posted but I'm not sure I'd want to be locked in to it.
