I am coming to the conclusion that having several drives to hand in a drawer is probably not a bad idea… tastes and applications can change far to regularly:)
On the Xotic front, I have just treated myself to an Xj - 1T 5 Lite and can honestly say it is the nicest bass I have ever played ( have had Sadowsky, Lulls, Nordy's, Fender CS). I think it has actually cured my bass gas. Xotic make really nice gear.

I love it. Had the Lowrider before and it was good as well. Adds some punch and depth that just feels right.

"Regal DI" most of the time but occasionally Chorus or other funky modulation (or octave/ octave fuzz) are fun. If I need dirt I can use the top channel of the NADumble and even change the One to the sansamp clone and stack them. I should be practicing so normally clean or add the #dumbledirt when playing along at home through my amp and cab. I use the DImStick so i don't mess up the One plugging in and out and as a DI of course.

I would have never thought of that pedal for bass. No low end loss? How about from the compressor?

I have to use the low cut on the regal whether I am running the dumble or not. I am not very good describing these things but I like it all. Works well with other pedals and like it is now. Comp is always on. A lot like my Love Squeeze. Just super quiet transparent girth added to the sound. I use an LB-100 with flats so no problem with low end or harmonic content in general.

Dialing in my eq is wildly different than through a PA with subs. I had to boost treble on my DCX and Neptunium to get my drive to come through how I like it when there's only one electric guitar. With a PA I'm always cutting treble.

How touch sensitive is the Big Booty Judy? I like when drives get heavier when I play harder and almost disappear with a light touch.

All the demos I've seen are just someone cranking it all the way up and pounding on it to get as much distortion as possible. I'd love a good bass-tuned turbo rat.

The Jam Pedals Bass Rattler is a superb bass tuned rat. Touch sensitive, and the second foot switch allows you to hit turbo mode on and off with ease. Side jacks is literally the only downside, but I can live with that.
