I am loving my JHS Kilt V2. It is a great dirt to overdrive to full on distortion pedal. And it has the two G switches. When both are up, it turns into a rocketship monster fuzz that works very good with bass. My two cents.

Have just picked up another Bergantino Super Pre for an absolute steal, and I have to say it is looking very promising. The HPF and LPF are very nicely done with quite gentle slopes. The eq is great and I like the overdrive with an 80% blend.

The Kilt crunchy gated fuzz works great for big moments. It seems to enhance low frequencies rather than roll them off in the high gain mode.
@MikoFX is a big Super Pre advocate, as well. I'd love to hear your experience with it. It's big and it's digital, but Bergantino stuff is well engineered.

It certainly doesn’t sound digital and yes like all of Jim’s stuff it is well made. I think the user interface could be a bit cleaner, but it is still very useable.
When that was in development I thought it was going to be my "answer" for my DI/IEM/Silent stage situations. While waiting for it to come out, I ended up going the HX Stomp route. I thought the Stomp would really be my "all in one" and do my bass, synth bass and even be my IEM. It ended up not being all that as I went wireless for everything.
I think the Bergantino is a great solution for a lot of situations. I have thought about picking one up if I could find a good deal. The thing that keeps the Stomp on my board is the Pitch Shift option. I "need" an Eb bass for a few songs and the Stomp is easier to bring and tap the switch in stead of swapping to a different bass.
I still may give one a try and bring an additional bass. Always great to have an excuse to have another bass at the gig, right?
I thought the second Footswitch was just a higher gain stage. Does the rattler have a LED-driven turbo rat in it? . I’ll have to take a look.
Oh on that front you are correct, my bad. The second foot switch doesn't do LED clipping. I've just heard the moniker thrown around of it being the "turbo" side.
Yep, they are a great piece of kit. Mine is used for worship if I look at the song list and no fx are needed. My SP is coming on a fly date this weekend for a tribute show gig.
Installed a Fralin on my P-bass and love it. Pop those babies in your J, you won’t regret it.
I wouldn't say it’s dynamic. It’s a distortion. It can do low drive, but it really isn’t meant for that in my opinion. I think it stacks well with a ton of drives.
Before the Bergantino Super Pre I held a very low opinion of digital modelers, having tried many that simply didn't 'do it' for me. They all seemed to have deficiencies that drove me crazy. The Bergantino changed all that for me. Is it perfect? No, but it's darn close, well suited for my current needs, and the hub of the longest standing pedalboard iteration I think I've ever had. Over a year with no substantial changes.

I have a Fender Rumble 100 and I need to play +/- 50% volume ... I would love to come with a cab like yours next time (8x10) and see the singer / flute faces ;-)Filling in at a different church this week. Haven’t played through a stage amp in like 10 years let alone an 8x10

I’m assuming you use the Element to run Cab Sim since the Super Pre doesn’t? Do you also use the power cab simulation of the element? Bergantino makes absolute quality stuff!!
For a church that doesn’t have any subs an 8x10 works perfectly at lower volumes. Fills up the sanctuary without being too much.

I use the Element's Noise Gate, Power Amp Sim, Cab Sim/IR Loader, and EQ to put a final polish on my tone. I also use it to stream tracks via Bluetooth from my phone to play along with & run my DT770's from it for silent practice.

That Super Pre looks cool. It only has eq, comp, tuner and drives? It seems like it could be useful as a stand alone unit for the bulk of my services. How is the DI?
