I'm playing a worship night tonight that I'm excited to see what my board can do!

I just have a PT Nano, so I'm limited on the amount of effects I really get in to, but I've got some good stuff on there. I need to snap a new pic of it and get it posted....

I just need a solid, clear, balanced tone.

A parametric mid some place along the line is about as exotic as I get. Although I'm hoping for a VTBass DI if they ever go on the market. Or maybe a paradriver.

Its nice to see all those pedal boards. well, i guess it time to move on.

just sharing, i planning to get MXR 80 & MXR 87 going to GK MB Fussion or Ampeg PF 500. Cabs are of same brand with the head.

I keep it simple, VT Bass, ART Tube Compressor, Korg Tuner, no amp. Sounds like I am rocking a SVT old school through the mains

I keep mine very simple as well...my bass goes into a Korg rackmount tuner, then to a Dunlop Bass Crybaby, then DOD Deep Freeze Bass Chorus, to a Tech 21 VT Bass, then to a Whirlwind DI for direct send to FOH.

I really like it. I've tried lots of dirt pedals the last 6 months and ended with this and the VMT. The clean and dirty separation is very neat and not like a blend knob at all. You can take all the clean away and just use the distortion to sound more guitar like. (Not my kinda OD) The tone knob is very cool. It makes the distortion sound very different as you turn it. It's very easy to drown out the clean side with the powerful drive side. I keep the level of the drive very low and use it for more of a gritty OD. My VMT adds much more when I need it. I think it's my perfect combo. If I want a totally different OD sound I just change the tone knob to achieve it. I'm not really using for bright heavy distortion like most of these videos. More Fat and gritty...

This is possibly the greatest setup of all time. Hard to beat this for ANY style! Simple is best!

On my to-buy list in the next couple weeks are a MIJ Boss OC-2 (to replace that aggy), a DOD Meatbox (for epic bass drops to really piss off my sound man and any old people), and an Electro Harmonix Bassballs nano (I have a Mooer bassballs copy but I'm kinda over it, want an EH again)

In defense of all of that silliness on my pedalboard, let me say this: 99% of the time, the band is just me on bass, a keyboardist with 2 setups, and a drummer. We have 3 services in an 800 seat room, we back 7 vocalists and every other week we add a 20 voice choir, so we have to fill a lot of space with just the 3 of us. We rarely have a guitarist, so I get to share the empty sonic space with the keyboardist filling some of that, and we do make as much use of loops as we can (all depends on how much time we have to make em!) so we are in a bit of a different position. It's very inconvenient most of the time, I'd love to have guitars! Theres room for an acoustic, an electric rhythm and a lead up there, but for some reason nobody is stepping up. However, it's sort of cool that we get to play with all of that sonic space by ourselves!

One box, 3 primary presets. Zoom B3. I use the DBX 160 compressor and the Eden Amp sim as a preamp in all three. THe empty slot is occupied by the effects I've found useful for the music we play. One has a flange, one has a octaver, and one with the 'slow attack' effect which lets me get the feel of a bowed cello. I've switched banks to presets I have for a cover band I'm in: at rehearsal one night I used a preset with an octaver and the Z Synth, and nobody said anything. I guess that shows how much they notice what I'm doing! Actually, everybody gave me a sideways glance when I started noodling on it in between tunes, just not when we were all playing a song.

Playing at a week long youth event from July 22-July 28. Pretty pumped about what God's going to do in central IL.

...and Grissle, I really like that board. I went with different pedals but the idea is very much the same.

I use the Pork Loin for most anything upbeat like Rend Collective and the Markbass mini dist for gritty songs like the worship stuff from The Followers.
