Worst pedal you ever bought!

Never actually bought an awful pedal before, just ones that didn't quite work out with my gear, band, focus, etc. at that particular time.
Actually many pedals I regret flipping or trading away, just to find if the grass really was greener, more so than ones that just didn't work out.

Don't think I ever bought a worst pedal, except temporarily. Even the ones I didn't like were still pretty good. But if we count the ones that I bought to try out and returned after a couple days, I would say the Bass Big Muff is the one I disliked the most. Sounds great in the store, but with a band it disappeared. I'm a big EHX fan and have used their pedals since 1974, but I didn't get that one at all.

And re the BSW, I have one, and I don't dislike it, but I did dislike the octave. Sorry. OC-2 eats it for lunch as far as I'm concerned.

$70 eBay mistake!

After doing some thinking on this subject, I have reached my conclusion and stand by it firmly. I own/have owned a Fulltone OCD, EHX Bass Big Muff Pi (also owned the deluxe- not the worst but don't waste your money), Wooly Mammoth, Mooer Green Mile, EHX Superego, EHX East River Drive and the Electro-Harmonix Lumberjack.

THE LUMBERJACK IS THE WORST
I bought the Lumberjack because I really like EHX and in their description they herald it as a fantastic OD for Bass. I think the best way to put it is it is simply a boring, boring pedal. The overall effect is mundane and will have you stomping it off quick. It's like it wants to give you a Mid 70s commercial rock finger style Jazz bass tone, but comes out with a whimper and a tangible aura of disappointment. Also, the East River Drive is so good that one must deduce the Lumberjack's engineer must be unemployed by now.

To finish my ranting, the Wooly Mammoth isn't worth it. On to the next one, on to the next one :)

This was an entertaining read. I'd have to add another vote for the Boss ODB-3, but I wish I would have looked into that mod mentioned a few pages back before tossing it. I also really could never get into the EBS OctaBass. I'm much more of a fan of the Boss Octave pedals. I'm surprised the SansAmp VT is mentioned on here a few times. The new VT DI is on my list, but I'm a bit worried now.

By far the worst pedal I bought was the pigtromix mothership. This thing costs a ton of money and it does not track. Actually it tracks worst than a digitech synth (the guitar version) !!! I am still trying to get rid of it. Awful experience

two of em come to mind.
DOD milkbox or something like that compressor - just acted like a random volume pedal, makes a good tire chock.
zoom pedal, little rinky dink red colored multi effects - had some really cool effects in it, but totally uncontrolable and a pia to shift patches and what not - finally just up and decided to not come on anymore - met its demise in unfortunate collision with my framing hammer.

I'll give you $3 for it!

I thought it was a little amusing before but I really don't get all the BSW hate. It's got some flaws but there are tons of fun sounds in that box.

I don't get it either, but one bassist's hate is the other one's love, I guess. I kept that pedal for 2 years, mostly as an octaver, but also as a filter, fuzz, sequencer... it did lots of fun stuff. If it woudla made coffee, I would've slept with it.

ODB-3 was horrible. I was in the market a few years back for some overdrive, didn't want crushing...just something light. this was given to me by a guitard friend of mine to try...it just brutalized my tone, Crushhing it like a locomotive destroys a penny. I handed it back and said thanks, I just saved myself the anguish of buying this pos used online. Ended up with a Porkloin in the end for that light overdrive/clip sound.

I think i also tried the "bass" version of the pedal....same result.
