worst stage names you've ever heard

How about these two names?

Sid Vicious
Johnny Rotten

There is an oldies band called Phil Dirt & The Dozers.

My band jokes around sometimes that our stage names are:

Peter Morningwood
Craven Morehead
Rumple Foreskin

I always wanted to name a band Cliff Hanger & The Hangnails.

Another thing we do is say our stage name is our middle name and the name of the street we live on. My stage name would be Danny Songbird.

My current band is calling itself Feedback Johnny and the Disappointments. So we joked that Disappointment was our last name and we were Major, Bitter, and Damn. The one member of the band who doesn't sing is Johnny, the lead guitarist. Also, Major quit. So now we're just Bitter and Damn.

Woody Post
Robin Graves
Muhammed Chang

Back in the 70s our guitarist and drummer were in a band called the Bombay Cruds, they only found out what it meant at their first gig when a WW2 vet enlightened them (another name for diarrhoea used by British soldiers in WW2).

They immediately dropped the Cruds and just became Bombay, a name they used until the band broke up years later.

"Bono" isn't that great either.

He was Bonavox of O'Connell Street, then Bono Vox, then Bono. He was part of a surrealist gang that used their own language and gave eachother nicknames. He's named after a hearing aid shop. He didn't like it at first, but then he found out that it meant good voice in Latin :) again, just a nickname ;)
