Would you date someone with HIV?

I never said I thought that.

Compare the number of people that have type 2 diabetes and the number of people that die every year as a result of it in the USA to the number of people that have HIV and have died as a result. Note that type 2 diabetes can effectively be prevented and controlled by diet and exercise but the numbers still dwarf the HIV numbers by at least an order of magnitude.

HIV is also almost entirely preventable, but I'm still seeing plenty of it.

Are you basing this on anything other than paranoia and the case of a professional athlete who caught it extremely early and can afford the very best doctors, drug cocktail, diet, etc.?

And there's a TON of money that goes with finding the cure. As has been mentioned about a hundred times in this thread.

And what would rake in more cash for a major pharmaceutical company? A one time cure or a lifetime of medication that most people would be paying out of pocket for. Not to mention its population control purposes that it was most likely created for. I'm not saying I'm right. I'm just saying if I am I wouldn't be suprised.

They'd cure things if they could. Some of y'all need to take some pathophys or something instead of reading blog sites.

HOW would one cure these diseases?

Do you really think 1.8 Million deaths/year can be called 'population control'? That's .00028% of the World's population, so it's not a very effective way to do this.

Who created it and what proof do you have?

My best friend from Vancouver introduced us to a really nice gal that was coming to L.A. to visit. and needed a place to stay for a couple of weeks. WE found out that she had contracted HIV from her (ex) husband. Wow - she was so attractive and the most amazing person and we had a GREAT time with her - I think she visited us twice. However my friend kept everything platonic and at distance. Pals. It was hard, but prudent.

Yes - that sucks - to be forever shunned because of something that wasn't her fault, but life sucks sometimes. However, it would be worse to add another to the list, especially ending that way. It isn't a "Thelma and Louise" over the cliff and boom it's over" ending, its months or years of decline and suffering.

In the end, she died, her a**hole husband didn't. Life is definitely not fair.

I'd like to see the source you're using to make that claim.

Man, it's a good thing I bought a bunch of ammo back in the day. Costco also had a SOG machete and tomahawk combo pack for $39 a while back.

Come to think of it. My 1 year old bit me yesterday. If the zombie apocalypse begins, it's all our fault.

Don't forget the disease vials such as meningitis in case the apocalypse is WWZ fashioned :p

Just one of the many forms available to us. In addition to processed food and wAter. 50 percent of everyone we know we most likely die of cancer or heart disease. How cheap is it to eat food that won't kill you? You need to fear science not satan.

And ironically, it's science that's created the opportunity to have this very discussion of data being beamed across oceans instantaneously.
