Wow! Prices sure jumped!!

I have a Neo 212-II and a 112-II. I wanted to buy another 112-II, but after looking at the price, no way am I spending $649 for a production cab.
That's entering into boutique territory. I may sell it all and buy some Berg's myself!

I own 2 GK Neo112-II cabs. Bought them when they were $349 then $399 new. Now they are up to $649!! WTH?!?!

The dollar isn’t worth anything anymore. I remember when certain basses cost half as much as the exact same models do today. And today they are mainly made by machines. And I’m in my 30s so I’m not talking 50 years ago.... I think at some point people are just gonna say the hell with it and go to an ampless in ear setup or build their own cabs from kits and or from shared designs like the fearless/fearful stuff.

Hi Everyone...
I used to play Berg AE410s and Revsound cabinets before becoming a GK Artist.

I moved to GK because of the ‘sound’ not price.

Just because GK is building in the USA now and the prices are closer to the ‘existing boutiques’ does not mean they are not in that category.

IMHO their prices were are steal before and now they are just closer to ‘normal’ retail pricing for what they are.

I think the answer is greed.
If you think the same owner for 51 years and who lives a moderate lifestyle is greedy then I’m guessing you have little exsperiance around real finance professionals.

That is not a dig towards you, just the straight dope.

They have been up for a while as far as I know. Neo did skyrocket and has not went down, the cost of everything is going up. Labor is scarce as a hens egg in a volcano. No one wants to work anymore.

The CX line was designed to bring weight down, use traditional drivers, be cost effective, and be premium cabs. Try those. I have a pair of the CX210 cabs and they are unbelievably good.

In the case of GK, I don’t see greed in the equation. They have always overdelivered for the price, IMO. GK has to pay people to make this stuff so that those people can deal with the rising prices of everything that you and I are also experiencing every day. The glossy ads and presence in the marketplace might make it seem as much to the pedestrian anti-capitalist, but GK is no corporate vampire.

I'm standing... right next to you... now, slumped over.
I'm about to slump over too...Over my basses with a soldering iron...lol
My tech hates when I play around in there (Sorry Booph).

Which begs the question...

Agreed.
If you read a recent article in Bass Gear it mentions GK just retooled their entire factory. Prolly cost some buckaroos.
