Writing songs for dogs

I know the rules. No pics, no dogs to write songs for...

Here is a picture of "Tinde", our Belgian Shepherd that just inspired me to write a verse for "I'm a retriever".

And here is a picture of our Wheaten Terrier "Bridget" that inspired me to butcher the Tom Jones tune into "She's a Wheaten".

She can kill with a smile, she can wound with her eyes
She can ruin your furniture with her claw size
And she only reveals what she wants you to see
She hides like a child, but she's always a Wheaten to me

She can lead you to love, she can take you or leave you
She can beg for a bone, but she'll never retrieve
And she'll take what you give her as long it's free
Yeah, She steals food like a thief, but she's always a Wheaten to me

CHORUS
Ohhh... she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants, she's asleep at nap time
Ohhh... and she never goes out
And she never comes in, she just changes her mind

And she'll paw at you more when she wants to be eatin'
Then she'll carelessly nip you and howl while you're bleeding
But she'll bring out the ball and nuzzle at your knee
Blame it all on yourself 'cause she's always a Wheaten to me

CHORUS

She's frequently kind and she's suddenly cruel
She can do as she pleases, she's all ready to drool
And she can't be convicted, she's earned her pedigree
And the most she will do is bark at shadows for you,
But she's always a Wheaten to me

Very cool.

Your username caught my eye. The front-man in a band that I play in is deep into rescuing cats. So... the name of the band is "Feral".

Dogs hearing is different than humans. If you wish to record your dog inspired compositions, and play the recording for your dog to listen to, make sure to play the song through a good set of WOOFERS.

If this is correct, can birds only hear tweeters?

;-/ yes, that was out loud!!!

I have reported both of these posts to the mods.

This classic... We still sing it sometimes at our house. I think it originally came from a Dave Barry column.

"Adventure Dog
Adventure Dog
Kinda big, kinda strong
Stupid as a log.
Adventure Dog..."
