Since you mentioned the bass fishing shows, I thought I should tell that there was a fishing show that had Les Claypool on it.
or when you almost make a total a$$$$ out of yourself like I did last night, at the club, sober, in front of this cute bass player that thank god didn't see....
nearly falling out of the chair while playing the air bass! I was sitting up and fell backward against the back--I guess the weight from the "air bass" knocked me backward!

that makes the bass guitar sound horrible, still do it tho, but not cos I play bass, but because I drive a people carrier am 19 years old and enjoy funk and disco, the funny looks from chavs amuses me
I can't see why you can't be white and like funk, the "funkyest" kids I no are white, but i don't see what difference it makes cos people are defined by there personality not by the colour of their skin.
...me/you/everyone else will argue the toss over which bassist is better, defending our corner and view point to the bitter end, even though we're arguing about musicians who just play bass! As long as it's lowdown, who cares right?

every thing shoul;d have less gutarists. you need rhythm bass, and lead bass would sound awesome in funk... 58 bar solos...

When you decide one Saturday morning that, ya know I think I'll go see what kinda Jazz Bass is hanging in the local music stores that I might like ...
Then ya see one and you just gotta have it, and you buy it and as your putting it in the trunk you realize ... you know I have 5 more of these at home!
Better yet, you come up with this crazy idea that you can build this cool little 10" speaker box, and you end up a year later with no less than 5 designs in production and a 6th on the drawing board of a start up commercial speaker cab company.
... Must be something about the number 6 ... what's up with that?

So I'm stopped at a light, and I see this new car in the turn lane next to my lane. Beautiful dark copper/red. Couldn't even tell you what make / model of car, because all I'm thinking is **Da*n, I wish I could find a bass painted in that color...**
The Bass doesn't sound terrible if you have a 6 speaker Boss system in your car...in fact I think my stereo could make just about anything sound good.
It was a joke man and I honestly can't see who it could possibly offend...the point is I'm white and I listen to funk, and my playing is pretty funky. ....I certainly wouldn't know who the Meters where if I didn't play.

Plus its name is Petros, which is a Greek male name.
