You know you´re obsessed with bass when...

When the guard on your diamond wedding ring interferes with you playing, so you simply don't wear it. Ever.

When it's all you blog/think/read/talk about.

And you're pissed because there aren't more bass blogs out there.

When you wish the letter "C" Were turned the other way so you could spell your name with the bass clef. And sometimes you do it anyway just for grins.

When your bass storage area is completely squared away, but you've been using clean undershirts from the dryer on a daily basis (for two weeks now!) instead of folding them & putting them in the bureau.

When you have a picture of your (favorite) bass on your cell phone. (Mine is the negative of my 2005 G&L L2500 - it looks awesome & makes me smile everytime I answer the phone or make a call!)

When you have nightmares about showing up to gigs without your gear.

When you spend $1400 on a brand new digital camera, professional-grade flash, etc. only to imagine how thoroughly bitchin your family shots on TB will be.

When the phrase "shooting your family" means something completely different to you.

When you know more about the bassist in a band than the entire band as a whole. ("Pearl Jam? Never heard of 'em. Oh yeah, doesnt Jeff Ament play bass for them? He uses vintage Fender basses, right?")

you also know your obsessed with bass when you blow all your money on gear....and take out a 1300 loan to buy a new amp and dont tell your wife....shhhhhh:rollno:

When your tree hugging wife shows you a big ass tree and you reply to her "that would make a hell of a lot of basses"

When you're studying mechanical engineering and every single projects you're required to think up at school is related to bass building jigs or bass manufacturing.

When you're on a holiday in France and find this amazing looking wood and insist on bringing back enough to make a top out of it. (Which implies spending a whole day of the vacation looking for that piece large enough)

When you want to take machining classes just so you can learn to build your own bridges, trussrods and tuners.

When you sneak looks at Talkbass when doing your homework at ome and quickly close the browser when you hear your wife walking towards you (that is SO stressful)

When the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning before your coffee is look at your pm's and the luthier's corner's new threads
