leffe luffer said:You know you are a bassplayer if:
You see two kids running down your street playing cops and robbers, one kid chasing the other with his right hand shaped like a gun with his first finger strechd out and his thumb in a 90 degre angle to his first finger. Everyone else are concerned that the children are playing such a violent game while you are psyched because you instantly think the kid is into slap bass.
lol, so true...Matthew Bryson said:You know you're a bass player when any time you injure any finger, you imediately take note of whether or not it will impact your bass playing and to what extent.
Hay same thing for that bass....KeiBau said:Yep. When I got my new computer and that bass icon came up, I thought to myself "Even the computer knows I'm a bass player". That meant something to me and you can believe I did leave the icon in place.
Anyway, I know I'm a bass player because I always hear the bass line of every piece of music I listen to. If the piece doesn't use any bass, I make something up and hum my bass line along with the music. I'm compelled to do this all the time.

Got a blister on my middle right finger from playing too much bass (hah! but I hadn't played for a while), and one day I decided to pop it (well, didn't decide, it just happened)... and I was all like "so when will it heal? I wanna play bass!"![]()

I was skateboarding and I injured my LM finger. The next day, we drove past a Guitar Center so I went in and played, purple finger and all. Hurt like hell, but I was there for a while.Matthew Bryson said:You know you're a bass player when any time you injure any finger, you imediately take note of whether or not it will impact your bass playing and to what extent.

"I was a bass player before you met me. I am a bass player now. If you leave, I will still be a bass player. This is not negotiable in any way, shape, or form. Now, where would you like me to take us for dinner?"
