You know you're a bass player when you have to explain 8 times to some seedy guy with a mullet that just because it has 6 strings it doesn't mean it's a guitar. "No, it's a bass," "But it's got 6 strings, it has to be a guitar." "NO!!! BASS!! IT'S A BASS YOU FOOL!!"

ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!! It's a bass damn it!!

You not only spot the bass player in the opening of Austin Powers 3, but you know his name, what kind of bass he's playing, and where he got his degree.

It's really sad at this point.....

A) Not only did you laugh when Jack Black gave the cello player the bass, but you were pissed that he told her to just play a G, and then gave every instrument a solo except the bass.

Haha vegaas I noticed the same thing, i was expecting her to bust a fat solo and was pretty mad when she didn't.

How about... got pissed off because a cello is tuned in fifths and strung CGDA, SO YOU CAN'T TURN IT SIDEWAYS TO MAKE A BASS GUITAR!!!

LOL! In my jazz band I tell the keyboardist, hey man you are screwin up my groove you shouldn't play the bass, part I've got it covered. Its true, he isn't that good and screws up my groove, but I do hate it. If he wasn't a dear dear friend, I would chop off his arm.

...You hate Broadway musicals, yet you wouldn't mind seeing The Music Man.

I've played in two Broadway musicals (in community theatre...) and I can assure that there is some real interesting stuff in there, if you can find it listen to the Fance from 'That's How Young I Feel', its from Mame...it's amazingly fun to play.

Every time you see a bass in a picture/TV show you try to name the company/model/year.

(This applies to me)When you find it more fun to noodle on your bass with random techniques then actually play when you're at home.

You notice the bass in every song, no matter what.

You get peeved when they don't show the bass player as often as the other people in the band on TV shows.

You can identify the P-bass tone instantly.
