Is the moral of this story never change strings? Because I got that covered.

A topic that over 150 people on here liked? Why yes it will. Thanks man...bye now!Abrupt dismissal and a move to discredit doesn't change anything: it is, and will remain, what it is.

Hate to break it to you, but I really don't care what your version of reality is. It's irrelevant in Jimmyland. So you can either keep pretending you're getting my goat with posts I couldn't give a rat's ass about or you can drop it. Either way, I'm done. Bye now.So that was your real mission... simply to gather likes.
Well done.
Regardless, popularity does not equate to reality.

You "don't give a rat's ass" about my posts? Your continued replies say otherwise. And I'm sure you'll reply to this one too.
The Jimmyland reality may occasionally intersect or correlate with my reality and/or even absolute reality. But this is not one of those times.
P.S. I've got confused because we have Spidey2112 and 2112 nicknames.
Is it a cult? A secret society.
What is the meaning behind that magic number 2112?
What would you say if I change my TB user ID to WUTP2112?
Feelings!!!Bass and drums stand out in adding energy that you feel.

... And he's right about one thing: If you assume you're audience is stupid, then you are stupid, and you are a joker. So learn from this and STOP IT. Or get out of the business, because there are people who play just as well as you but have better attitudes.
one data point does not indicate a trend
So please excuse me...I didn't realize that stating an example of how people in our audiences are often smarter than we think they are, then stating that we should have respect for them instead of pretending like they're morons, required scientific study. For my next dozen gigs, I will conduct several double blind studies. I will pick out of each audience 100 people who ever played an instrument and 100 people who didn't, tell the rest that they have to leave, then I'll put a curtain up in front of the stage and have a certified musicologist conduct a test where changes in the bass sound randomly happen, and they hit a button every time they think something has changed. Then we'll compile all the data and publish it through a major college's science department. One situation was presented as evidence that audiences notice what the bass player is doing.
Myself and some others objected to this because it's a single event. One data point isn't enough to demonstrate something like that. We were called arrogant.
Then over dozens of pages many other data points were presented as further evidence of the claim.
That is not what was presented initially. That's not what skeptics were called arrogant for not accepting. One data point was presented as evidence with multiple apparently implied data points we should have assumed? No.
Bad science was piled on with bad communication.

And then, and only then, will I come back to you and beg for your approval. Sure, I will be considered a completely daft fool by everyone involved, and I'll probably lose my job by the time it's over. But if one day I see you two, random anonymous people on the internet whom I know nothing about, comment, "Congratulations Jim, this is true science," then it will all be worth it.
Hey, like I said before, you go on and think all your audiences are idiots, because you're just clearing a path for the rest of us."Hey this thing happened recently and it proves this point. If you disagree it's because you're arrogant"
"Well it's just one thing you're telling me about. That doesn't prove anything."
"What are you talking about? It happened a million times. You're arrogant for disagreeing with this trend I've noticed over many, many instances."
Oh, well you just mentioned the one thing initially so that's what I was responding to"
"Well excuuuuuse me. From now on I'm gonna wait for peer review and your approval and waaaahh. Waaaaahhhhh."
At no point did I say or even imply that I thought my audiences are idiots. I rejected your unfounded assertion. It's like you're talking to someone that's not here. You have an odd way of communicating.Hey, like I said before, you go on and think all your audiences are idiots, because you're just clearing a path for the rest of us.
