Your 3 basses for the most well-rounded stable

If you had to pick three basses to own that would cover the most band situations which would they be? This isn't a "which bass is better" or "which is more versatile" it's a "which three would YOU choose?"

Let's keep it civil, ya animals.

I'd personally choose a Fender P, a Fender J and a Rickenbacker. I think that pretty much covers it, except maybe a good active sound.

Same line up as yours: P,J, 4003. No active for me though.

No, that's a 4004 series, which use HB-1 humbuckers.

I was laughing when 4003 models were flying off the shelf after Lemmy died, since he used humbuckers even in his older RIC, but those were from a Thunderbird.

Disclaimer:

There's no need to tell me that my perception of them flying off the shelf after Lemmy's death is false, because I saw what happened.
I saw 4003 models in Sam Ash & GC, the same models for a year. Then within a week after Lemmy died, they were gone.

4003's have ALWAYS flown off the shelf. And not because Lemmy died, as you'd have it.

When did this get there? I wasn't canceling anyone's anything. I was saying 4003's have always been a HOT seller. Like always, always. Of course you can draw your own conclusions. You just stated it so matter of factually. Why so salty? I have zero clue who you are.
