'12 Prius V

No, it ain't sexy like a corvette or lamborghini as it resembles a big black wedge door-stop. But it hauls my fat butt plus all my gear and a few friends to boot AND still gets 44 mpg in the city.

Thats the kind of performance that impresses me in this economy.

Toyota Camry.

Turns on every time. Never over heats. Brakes always work.

That's my 1, 2 and 3.

I agree! Camry, Corolla, Tacoma trucks.

Also, although it's not a car, a Toyota Tacoma truck. Bought mine 13 years ago. Replaced muffler, battery and replaced $30 of emergency brake linkage. Been 100% trouble free! At 120,000 miles, it still has the original brakes and original Firestone tires!

The best cars are the ones with excellent long term reliability and that get good gas mileage.

And it's a no brainer to Google cars with the best service record to find out which ones they are.

Turn the key and drive it! I don't want any problems!

The photo was taken at his funeral, they carried his ashes home in it for one last ride

I had the Geo back in my pizza delivery days after high school. It carried all my gear and got about 45 mpg and was super easy to fix. I worked in a tiny town with a very large university in the middle of it so most of my deliveries were to the dorms. The Geo was small enough for me to drive on the sidewalk and park in the court yard next to the dorms without the cops caring.
