Your favorite pizza toppings

If you find yourself in Sacramento I recommend Invalid Link Removed in Carmichael. Parking is a REAL pita but the food is so worth it. I especially love the Italian sausage and polenta. The pizzas ( on topic ) are excellent and cooked in a stone hearth. The Devils Delight is the best veggie pizza I have ever had.

I rarely hear the word *pie* before *pizza*

Pizza=pizza. Pie is dessert.

I agree that pizza isn't pie, but pie ain't just dessert.

How about steak and kidney pie? Chicken and mushroom? Beef and onion? Savoury pies are food from heaven (although I can enjoy a good old slice of fruit pie afterwards, too).

Oops - sorry for the slight derail.

I've been to that Clam Shack. My wife wanted to eat there.

cracker crust with Rocky's red sauce, double shrooms, black olives.

Gotta live in the greater B'ham (AL) area to get Rocky's. Best red sauce to ever grace a pizza crust. Tangy enough to leave your lips all a-tingle after downing a slice or two, but not stupid hot.

Depends on my mood, but I will say that fresh ingredients are a must.

I like:
Pepperoni
Mushrooms
Bacon
Italian Sausage
Green Peppers
Black Olives
Crushed Red Pepper
Banana Peppers
...basically anything but pineapple. Yuck!
