From a long, long time ago, the theme song to the television show Hennessy. The great composer Sonny Burke paired a piccolo with a tuba for the horn pipe intro. Even as a very young child, I knew there was something really intriguing beyond the catchy melody, even though I didn’t know what it was at the time.

Hawaii 5-0 was a good one that one of my bands played with guitar synth. Hard to narrow it down as there have been many good themes.

I was going to say Hawaii 5-0 too. IMHO the coolest TV theme ever.

In the 70's my band used to play a shortened instrumental only version of this song before going on break.

I used to work with a guy who sang those lyrics to Purple haze. Worked out fine, and pretty funny too.
