Your first bass or first bass line learned?

First bass: 1964 Framus solidbody
First bassline learned: "Not Fragile" by Bachman-Turner Overdrive (not exactly a huge hit but I had just gotten the album and loved that bassline because it was by itself)

First bass... 1974 Rickenbacker 4001

First 'bass line'... this is kinda hard to pinpoint... 'Louie Louie', or 'Gloria' immediately come to mind, but that would be way before I decided to play bass guitar. Then there are the classic surf songs: 'Walk Don't Run', 'Pipeline', 'Wipe Out'; etc... however, I learned such tunes on guitar long before I picked-up a bass... :hmm:

First bass line??? :eyebrow: Dammit! This is a really good question! 'Hey Joe'... maybe??? 'Fire' also comes to mind...

I am stumped... 'das 'fo sho'.... Thanks for making me reminisce and think... :D

My very first bass. 10 years ago...
A Venson(?) PJ configuration.
A piece of crap, but I like the body shape.
