Your Look On Stage

It cracks me up how this forum is such a boys' club! Hey, it works both ways, I was the one standing right in front of John Taylor at Duran Duran with my eyes glazed over and my heart racing for pretty much the entire show...so do you guys think I should wear skirts more often onstage? ;)

Haha, very true(all of it). I think your body's lines complements the lines of your bass very well so I don't know how I feel about a skirt but I'm sure it couldn't hurt for the sex appeal of your show. Girls have the talent of wearing PJ's and looking like they're having a good time and making us have a good time. And girls who dress up for the show are an instant fun-enhancer. The band that played with the chick singer at my gig last Saturday was easily the most enjoyable other than when I was playing, even though the talent pool was essentially the same.

The boys club here probably thinks you should wear more skirts, and me more shirts.

collars (polo, button up, dress shirt and vest, or V neck)in basic colours, black skinny jeans (with boot cut. i HATE tapered jeans), Black Chuck Taylors, Black Cabbie, wristband/watch.
works for every single venue and gig i've ever done.

skirt, yes. especially something that twirls. actually before i was responding to the died hair comment, not trying to be suggestive or creepy. glad you took it as a compliment?

Eh the truth is I am not a fan of skirts...I was in a band where the leader was a manipulative jerk who literally MADE me wear a skirt. I wear them in the summer sometimes if it's really hot or if I happen to be in the mood, but it's just not my thing and 99.9% of the time, I'm not comfortable in them, if only because I resent dressing a certain way to please others. Sorry, but that's the truth!

Comfort is priority 1! Always and forever!
once you found what's comfortable, class it up! and there you have it: stage wear!
