Understood, but if you see someone running at you, you can either run the other way, or engage. If you choose to engage, I prefer the Nolan Ryan technique.
Carlos Quentin is about twice the size of Ozzie Smith... A dark looking 6'2. 240 lb guy is pretty scary. I would have run
Carlos Quentin charging the mound was the most exciting thing to happen in San Diego baseball in the last 2 years. 
Except for the ongoing feud with Fox Sports and Time Warner Cable. I just read this morning that Fox doesn't believe TWC will be carrying the Pads at all this season. So now they are the only carrier NOT carrying the games. Even Dish and At&T sucked it up for the sake of keeping customers.

Texas Rangers. Looks to be a promising season with lots of wins and lots of winning seasons to come.
IMO Josh Hamilton made a mistake going to the Angels, he has been my favourite player after reading his book.

Contrarian I am I was always the Angels fan, however Kirk Gibson's home run trumps the Angels winning the World Series as the greatest baseball moment of my life.
The Braves have a hot prospect catcher, Bethancourt, playing for the AA Mississippi Braves. Saw him play Saturday. I was not impressed at all:
- All pitches were called from the dugout.
- He got hit in the toe with a foul. He rolled around on the ground for several minutes.
- He creeped back away from the plate on most pitches.
- His stance (he's RH) was cocked to the right and he didn't give the pitcher any target.
- He dropped the ball during a minor collision play at the plate costing his team a run.
- His offense was mediocre.
Wow. They must have some X-ray glasses to see something I don't.

Dodgers stumbled and failed against San Diego. 23 LOB (6 by Ethier) is not a good stat. On the good side, Kemp is starting to hit the ball...finally.
