Sheesh-- I've been through a ****load of amps!

This is going back about 5 years... Ive done some very jury-rigged setups in that time.

- Fender 60 Watt amp... Something like the modern rumble 60, cant remember what it was called. I sold it after getting the Sansamp

-Peavy KB-300. For a while I ran the record out of the fender into this kind of like a preamp, as the peavey has 0 tone. Good thing I was playing punk at the time so noone thought it at all odd.

-Sansamp BDDI. My best buy ever, I used it as my preamp for about 4 years. Ran it into the peavy until I started doing the rack thing.

-Nady SA 600 - Not so great power amp I bought off a freind for $90, with a broken power switch that was fortunately stuck on. Oddly enough, I used it for 3 years, and it still worked when I finally replaced it.

-Madison MAB210 - This, the Nady, the sansamp, and a very large behringer mixer made my first rack monstrosity. Made for some fun setups.

-Alesis 3630, adding to the rack

-Return of the Peavey: Sometime in the summer before freshman year at college I realized that the peavey amp I had sitting in a corner had a pretty funtional speaker in it, so I tore out the power section, spliced on a bannana plug, and made it a 1x15 cabinet. I use this and the Madison til I realized the peavey sounded much, much better and have been using just it since.

-Alesis MEQ 230 and BBE 362. More rack gear, I was amazed at how much the BBE did and how little the EQ.

-QSC RMX 1450. I eventually got tired of worrying about my power amp at every show. Also made hella difference in tone

-Ampeg SVP-CL. Finally bought a real preamp, and I am quite happy with it

So Currently:

Ampeg SVP-Cl
Alesis 3630
BBE 362
QSC RMX 1450
Peavey 1x15 cabinet made from a KB 300

Fuch's are fantastic amps I've played them all of 10-15 min but the ODS I made me realize why they are so well regarded 'boutique' amps.

I would have liked to keep the TDS-50 but I got slammed by Wilma and needed the cash. The Train serves my needs quite nicely, especially since I'm concentrating on bass, but I can see another ODS or TDS next year (unless Andy heeds my request for a disturbingly powerfull Fuchs all tube bass amp).

1970... Kustom 200 and a Kustom 3 x 15" cabinet stuffed with JBL's... both red sparkle...

1977... Gallien-Kruger 400-watt SS head with a Kustom 2 x 15" cabinet...

1983...took a 22-year hiatus from playing... can anyone say, "Raising twin daughters?" I sold... EVERYTHING... :crying:

2005... Jumped back into the game... Ashdown ABM500-RC Evo-II with a Bergantino NV215; later my Marshall VBA400 finally showed-up; shortly after that, I bought an Eden D410XLT... August 2005- bought a 10-month-old Aguilar DB750 from a dear friend...

2006... Sold the Marshall... :crying: :bawl: ; bought a Bergantino NV425...

Enough, already! :D
