Somewhere along the line, Digitech changed the design of the Bass Multi-Chorus. I had an older one that I really liked but I sold it in hope of finding something better. Last month, I decided to give it another shot so I bought a new one. When I set it up with my rig, I got a much colder and harsher effect than I remembered and the input clipped like mad in the effects loop of my amp. That never happened with the older one. Also, I had opened up the first one I had and found that the pot shafts were nutted to the casing and the PCB was totally removable. On the newer ones, the pot shafts are plastic and extend from the PCB through the casing. There is only a little plastic ring that holds them in place. The PCB is also firmly attached to the bottom plate of the box so the solder points are inaccessable. I would recommend the older version as it is a really lush and full sounding chorus with lots of versatility but the new ones absolutely suck, IMO.
