Thanks. Actually it's a 2008 blizzard pearl. This color is didscontinued too and looks pretty similar to inca silver.

Not that it would be my generic, for-anyone suggestion but, for me personally, I would go for a Warwick Rockbass Star Bass 5. I don't think I'd ever spend the money for a German made Warwick, at least new, but a Rockbass model is in the ball park and for some reason I find a Star Bass 5 seriously GAS-inducing.

I was looking for a bass under 1000.00 last year and the Ibanez Cerro SRSC800 was the one I chose. I expected the price to be 1200.00 or more, bought it for 899.00 the Bartolini pickups sound great. The weight is right, the string spacing is comfortable and the purple heart fretboard is fantastic along with the satin finish neck.

As someone who owns a bunch of Fenders, I'd probably go back to G&L for this challenge.

Used SB2, LB100, SB1, etc can all be had comfortably within the $700 range. As an example, I bought my old ASAT for $300 or $400. Lets say $750 with a case.

Then I'd buy a used Aguilar Tonehammer (150), used TC Electronic Polytune (50), and I'd spend the rest on a decent strap and strings.

Totally giggable rig because backline amps are for p******.
