It's unfortunate that this thread got derailed into a flame fest.

Gentlemen, facts get altered all the time to fit the narrative. Whether it's for a "based on true events" movie, this documentary, or the Bible (Council of Nycaea), to the use of editorials as reporting in today's 24/7 news channels.

There are many elements of fact in this documentary. E.g., the secret creation of the Federal Reserve on Jekyll Island. I'm not sure why Philbiker blasted me a new one for citing that historical fact, but whatever.

All I see is complaining, but not any acting on your part.

Because I do not report, nor am I required to report any of my actions to you. What I do to support my beliefs and causes in life is a truly personal matter, as it is with what YOU choose to do or not. You have ZERO right to demand or expect ANYTHING of me, sir. I have made no such demands of you. You need to learn some basic ettiquette as a human being, IMHO.

Why not sell some of the crapload of music equipment that you own and use it towards a cause you feel would help?

I see you're clearly jealous. How shallow. It's a shame you would resort to throwing the tools of my trade that I have amassed over an entire career in music in my face like that. You are not a very nice person to attack another musician in this way.

What a horrible, shallow thing to do...and such a terrible, petty, personal attack against another musician. Truly reprehensible. It's like asking a carpenter why he doesn't hock his hammers, or a mechanic why he doesn't pawn his tools. Clearly, you are not a real musician, or you would never say such a horrible thing to a career musician.

Can't you argue the merits of this movie without resorting to such horrible anti-musician-like personal attacks?

Part 3: Slavery.

Think about this, large banks buying out all the smaller banks after a recession caused their values to plummet. In the past few days Bear Stearns was bought out by JP Morgan with help by the Government for next to nothing. So yeah, how about that...
You need to learn some basics about the stock market. Buyouts rarely force values downward, they usually push them upward.

As for Bear Stearns, it was a $20 billion company less than a year ago, but that was only because all the stupid crap they'd done hadn't been reported yet. The company flushed itself down the toilet. The Feds helped JPM buy it only because Bear still has so much junk on its balance sheet that could implode, and the Fed doesn't want to see Bear go completely bankrupt.
