Zon basses - is everything OK ?

The finish is great! Is that a truss wheel?
The B strings on both of my Legacy Elite VI basses are very musical and both instruments are 34" scale, I'm very happy with these basses.
I recorded my last record that was released this past June 23, 2023, this is a documentary of the making of our record, I recorded bass tracks with one of my Legacy Elite VI Zons, again I'm very impressed with my Zon basses, thank you Joe Zon.

I’m still contemplating that Sonus BG5-order in Candy Pink Metallic high gloss. The last time I brought the idea up, they said it wouldn’t be an issue delivering it in a 13 month window. I couldn’t stand waiting more than that, however.
I'd love a second Zon and a 13 month wait would not deter me - IF I had a high level of confidence that the wait wouldn't be exceeded by very much. I believe Zon usually meets their ETAs, but when they don't they seem to miss by a mile.
Just thinking about your build makes me drool. I would love to see it if it becomes reality.
I’m getting a good tax return next year; hopefully enough to partially finance the build.

I've had a Sonus Custom for 20 years. 34", great B string.
I have 2 Sonus 5 strings and there is absolutely no issue with the B string on those 34inch instrument
Yeah all the Zons I’ve tried have been 34”, and they all had great B-strings. Great clarity in any register, really.
But also, really wish this bass would appear for sale some time during the next year; it’s somewhat of a dream bass

That's the first Zon I ever played at length. I don't even play 6 string, but it was so comfortable and beautifully constructed that I decided to pull the trigger on my custom Sonus fiver.
Yeah, having recently bought a Sadowsky (German) MetroLine 5-21, I’ve confirmed once and for all I need 19 mm spacing on all basses, regardless of the number of strings. I also have come to love j-style pickups, so that particular Zon would be a dream for me.
I remember walking into my local GC about 15 years ago. There was a used Sonus five string I don't remember much about the bass it had a Burl Myrtle top and maybe J pups ot played fantastic. The price I do remember $1500!!

some day I'd love to own another fretless sonus, there's nothing else on the planet like it. It just has to be acquired used..... and with a truss rod.....
