Zon basses - is everything OK ?

Indeed.
My "2-3 month turnaround for repair" is coming up on four years.
The situation doesn't require exaggeration, projection, or conjecture to be construed as laughably absurd.
For any other company it would be, but apparently this is the legacy that Zon seems to have chosen.

Alembic is still in production. They do the filter style system electronics, if that is what you are after (such as the Wal)
Never really been interested in Alembics, and from casual listening they don't seem to sound anything like Wals. Also, even MORE expensive.
Well, after 14 months, I’m happy to say My Sonus Special is here and it’s everything I hoped it would be. Thank you, Joe and Martin for the phone calls the tweaking and making it perfect just for me right out of the case it’s perfect. so I’m happy to report that everything Zon as far as I’m concerned OK.

Is that your bass in the post above yours? How do you like the "Extra Special" pickup position (they are tighter together than the regular "special")?
Oh and if so, is that a sinker redwood top?
Yes that’s mine.. I love the pickups in that position , Joe said it was a Bees Wing Bubinga top is what he called it.

@antnebass that is beautiful, love a good Sonus (extra) Special. I hope that you get to play some great music on it, and that the folks who are still waiting see theirs soon too.
I have reached the 4 year wait time on mine. Still waiting. While the communication happens (when solicited), I've all but lost faith in seeing it. I've been a diehard Zon fan since the early 2000's. I still own two that I thought I would never part ways with until recently...
I’m officially past the 8 year mark. Last email response said the expectation was that the bass would be ready by end of February, so hopefully any day now.
I’m excited. It’s been a lot of things contributing…not to excuse, I had a hand in it too of course (I don’t want to rehash and rip open wounds, it’s all here in the pages prior).
I think it’s going to be a stellar instrument and I’m excited to have another Tbird style bass in the quiver
