Zon basses - is everything OK ?

An update: I received pictures of my bass hanging in the paint booth, and Joe saying he’ll invite me out to the shop next month. I don’t know if that means it will be finished then, or if that will be to answer any lingering questions (the electronics I requested are a bit odd). Either way, I’m happy to have proof of progress, and I might just get my instrument in under 5 years (deposit paid in June 2021).

Did you get to go to the shop yet?

For the first time in a while, I opened Facebook today to see an update from Zon regarding a beautiful bass they've just finished. I naively through to myself that maybe they were past the 'backlog' of orders they've been sitting on and doing so little with. I thought I'd check in here to see if that were the case. I'm so disappointed to find that people are still waiting after all this time, as new basses continue to be churned out.

Who's he making these for if he hasn't caught up with the backlog?

Is it possible that the new bass was made for a customer? I'm not on FB so I can't really check.

Stunning bass, I must say.

Any word yet? I know you said you was going to contact them around the end of March if you hadn't heard anything.

I heard today that I will hear again from them on this Friday. Optimistic for good news.
Bass has been on order about 2+ years.

When did you place the order? Anything fancy? (we should maybe make a sticky post with the list of ongoing order of TB member)

Well, for people looking for a VB4 or Fretless 5, I have one of each in the classifieds :)

(sorry for the shameless plug)

Has anybody ordered a new Zon in the last few months? If so, is it still typical to have a 5 year lead time on new builds?

On the website the online store link doesn't work and the "build" template has pricing from 2021?

There is a customer order deposit link for payments though.
I'm past the 5-year point for a *repair*.
