Zoom B1Xon Settings Thread...... OMG

I've got a stepped sequence of EQs and tones from scooped and fat to flat to mids boost to tube warmth to fuzz+sansamp.
Anybody have a good fuzz setting they like?
I was sound sampling the Fuzzrocious Grey Stache yesterday and it sounds completely killer. I've never wanted a fuzz til I heard it.

The only thing the B1on is missing (compared with the MS60B) is tap tempo. That's a biggie, unfortunately. Why, Zoom, why?
(Oh, and the UI is awful. IMO. Then again, what can you expect for the price?)

Agree on the TT thing. As for the UI, with so many accessible functions it is difficult to not compromise in some areas without a ton of (yet more) hardware buttons. Really, both the B1 and MS series aren't bad but there is a learning curve with both. Like you say, for the price...

Hi fellas! I've read through the thread. To make a patch by hand, do I have to delete some factory settings?

Also, any tip on how to assign the pedal to anything other than volume control?

You will have to write over some of the factory settings. I just picked on the the artist banks to create my own bank for a series of patches, including a bypass channel. I've renamed all the patches too. They are all Matt OD or Matt Muff, Matt Ratt and so on.

Don't know anything about the expression pedal. I don't have that one.

After my first couple of hours looking for what to keep and what to overwrite, here's where I'm at:

  • Nothing in bank C special enough to keep, as others have observed. That's where I'l make my favorites.
  • A6 Fat Syn - With a slightly softer attack it could be a fun patch for I Wish.
  • B1 Rock Steady - Nice dark SVT for holding down the groove on something like Invalid Link Removed. D1 gave me the same feeling.
  • B5 HammOnTap - on my fretless this provides nice definition for something like The Logical Song. A little too bright on my fretted bass.
  • D7 Lo Fi - A little overdone but maybe on the right track for something like Always Alright.
  • E4 Harmonics makes me want to find that old Patrick O'Hearn book I have somewhere about harmonics chords.
  • F1 is a fun flange.
  • G0 Hybrid Dis - The only fuzz that didn't seem overblown. Song for the Dumped.

Love this little doohickey

That's the same bank I went with. C0 is bypass and I've got six more patches going.

The tuner dont detecte the notes of the volume of bass Island Low, mine do this.
Welcome to TalkBass Pietro.

I am guessing that you used Google translate because your post ^ does not make sense. It is does not mean anything. You could try posting it in your native language Pietro and someone here will be able to translate it correctly.

(Help me guys, I know what I am trying to say but doubt that Google will translate it correctly, can anyone put it better than I did.)
