Zoom b3 patch Ideas

Except that in live situation there can be a mix between the mic'ed rig and a clean DI :)
It's most in that spirit that I see the total balance.
But as already said, tone is subjective and personnal and it's great to be able to play with all these settings.
This zoom B3 is really an impressive tool to find new tricks to get new tones.
And all your patches are really great too to help understanding the interactions between the different effects.

Yes,i know that some people do that,to mix raw bass signal with amped signal in live situations.Everythink is subjective and personal as you said allready;).
I am in a new project right now,to emulate some popular analog dirts.I will keep you informed.Wish me luck mate :)

Here's a new patch idea I came up with. this patch has a monstrous bass sound that has warmth, punch, and crunch. an excellent patch for metal.

Super beast

Section 1: splitter: hi: 40, lo: 30, freq: 250hz, level: 90

Section 2: bass bb: gain: 35, bass: 3, treble: 0, blend: 40, level: 70

Section 3: super b: bass: 3, mid: 4, treble: 5, midfq: 300hz, gain: 45, level: 70, presence: 7, cab: ag1x15, mix: 50

New Patch idea

Don't know if you aware guys for that awesome youtube video.This guy have the most awesome Precision sound on the tube for me.This is the way i like my P basses sound.




So i made a patch to simulate the sound of the Fender+Markbass amp of the video.Don't know the strings or what type of compressor he use,but i can't make my muted notes sound like his,but i think i am very close.I don't use a Markbass sim amp in my patch but a Monotone.

I need some however: rage against the machine bass sound for killing in the name and the lemmy's motorhead sound.
Can you help me? Have you patches for them?
I can't find it in my B3 .

For Rage Against the Machine, Tim played a MM stingray DI for that song with an old Marshall Guv'nor for distortion.
If you want his later Evil Empire sound, you need a Jazz with rounds, height action and hit the strings hard, finger style with the bridge pick up 100% neck pick up about 50% or less.
Set the SVT sim (roughly) treble +2 / Mids +4 @ 500hz / bass -2 / gain 40-60 (higher if you want more distortion). You can add an octave, opticomp or wah (if you have an expression pedal) to complete a basic Tim C pedal board if you like.

For Lemmy, grab a Ric (or a Jazz bass with Bridge pick up 100% and Neck PU 50% or less again. Play hard with a pick.
Set the Superbass sim treble +5 / Mids +5 @ 1.2khz or 800hz / bass -4 / presence +5 / gain full.
That's it really.

You can adjust these to your preference, it's going to sound different for different people, but it should get you close to their basic tones.

You can get a motorhead sound using the marshall super bass model with the proco rat model. and like jk138 said, you can get a rage against the machine sound using an svt model with the proco rat model. I did have a patch for a motorhead sound called lemmy, but I don't remember what page it was. if you're able to find it, use that patch and see if it helps out for you.

Been messing for the last couple of days to find a good synth sound and just haven't found one that I really liked (I haven't read through this entire thread but a search hasn't found something similar so my apologies if anyone has posted similar) so I thought I'd try to replicate the age-old "synth"ish sound of the Boss OC-2/Distortion/Phaser and ended up with what I think is a pretty cool, heavy, fat synth sound overall. Here's the breakdown. I can make the patch available via Dropbox if anyone would like it. Just PM me.

Section 1: Oct/Dist Pedal - Oct:100 Dry:50 Level:120 Gain:32 Chain Toggle:After Tone:0
Section 2: Oct/Dist Pedal - Oct:0 Dry:54 Level:120 Gain:30 Chain Toggle:Before Tone:100
Section 3: The Vibe Pedal - Speed:0 Depth:76 Bias:24 Wave:76 Mode Toggle:Vibrato Level:73

Very thick, very saturated, yet "warm" sound. It reminds me (somewhat) of the old Yamaha DX7 heavy synth sounds of the 80's (even a bit Moogish?!). The decay is a bit sketch if held too long and don't even think about playing down below an "A" as it starts to struggle a little bit but overall much closer to my end goals than any of the synth patches in the B3.

My apologies if this is a patch that's already been posted. 50 pages of patches is difficult to peruse.
