Zoom MS-60B announced... at last

Hey does anyone know if this has the same Hartke 3500 sim and cab sims on it? I'm using my B3 as a pre Hartke sim -> 1x15ag sim -> M Comp.

I was thinking about an M60b to take its place so I can use the B3 for modulation.

Yes it has the Hartke 3500 and the 4X10 Hartke cab. Haven't played around with that one yet.

Re: PB patches, so far I've found the PB Clean most useful. I often rehearse at a plug and play place and the house amp is either an Ampeg BA115 or BA112. I dial in a decent fairly neutral setting and the PB Clean transforms it into a really useful sound, best with my PBass in soul/r&b band. You sure PB doesn't stand for P Bass??

I'll have to revisit the settings on the other PB patches since they are all too loud.

BTW, off topic I know but why is there such a world of difference between these 2 amps. BA115 is perfect for medium volume band rehearsal. The BA112 just doesn't cut it. It's seriously under powered and even when cranked just doesn't sound good in the same setting. Too bad since form factor is great. A BA112 HP would be great.

AFAIK, no. This is the reason someone earlier in this thread tried to mount an effort to catalog the factory patch settings. Not sure how far that got.

I get a tone of hum/buzz from PB Clean. Guess I need to diagnose that.

No AG 1x15 option in the MS-60b, only AG 8x10. No 15 option at all.

Not a big fan of the 1X18 sim, and would love a 1X15 option. I am absolutely loving the Bassman 4x12 though!

Placement is up to you kind of depending on what you use it for most, but it looks like in your chain it will be fine in the LMB-3 spot. The compressors are very good, filters and modulation are great...but personally I think the secret power is the mixing and matching of patches for different tones and EQs.

I just have the tone on my B3 dialed in to exactly where I want it, that's all. I guess I could still get an MS60B And just play around til I get something similar

The possibilities are pretty endless. I run a 60b into a B3 and I have found many usable tone combinations.

Your settings are terrific!
This old bar/wedding band vet finds them very musical at all my gigs.
I use PBclean almost all the time. That's my default go to setting.
PBolskool nails that 60's/70's Motown/Stax/Soul tone.use it a lot with my horn band. Instant flatwound. Clever use of the defret to get that muted P tone.
Although I'm not a fuzz guy when I filled in with a 60's/70's pop band I used PBfuzz on the break in the Monkees "I'm a Believer".The other guys in the band loved it.

Kudos for presets that are not gimmicky but quite useful, something you don't often find in factory presets.

I just dialed in settings that I know I would use. I didn't want to sound like someone's specific, famous record, or something that sounds "cool" on it's own, but not practical for actual use.

Definitely the most useful settings! Thanks for programming them.

Oh man, I did 2 more, but they were just different intensities of distortion. I don't have them anymore. Zoom sent me a prototype to program, and I sent it back, with my notes.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! PBOlSkool is my go-to eq for tons of stuff, especially the old motown and jazz. The fuzz is a bit hot for my taste, but I will be checking out the clean, too. I've just started gigging a Streamliner, and the MS-60b is great at helping me EQ and punch through.

If you happen to read this, would be great to hear a comment or two on why most of the presets are so hot/gain-heavy.

Glad to hear you're digging my patches. As far as the gain level, THAT I had nothing to do with. Not too sure why they were all preset so hot. Easy fix, though.

I recently bought the MS60B to add a little edge to my sound. I love a couple of patches I created but always get a delay or repeat when I play a note and can't figure out how to eliminate this. It makes the sound very muddy. It is a very distinct repeat/echo! Does anyone else have this problem or know how I can fix it? I'd love to use the box but I need it to produce one note when I play one note. (I'm not using any delays in the chains.)
