Zoom MS-60B announced... at last

Really curious to hear what you users think of the 3 patches I created. They are the last 3, with "PB" as a preface. I'd love your feedback.
Also, to anyone says that these Zoom units aren't for the pros, I must have missed that memo.
This is a pic of me, rocking out 2 B3's, in front of 13,000 of my closest friends. ;)

Awesome.

Must the MS-60b be used with its own wallwart, or can I use a DC-Brick to juice it ?

I have mine daisy chained with my other pedals on a 2 amp wall wart. The MS-60B requires 500mA as per the specs on the website. A lot of DC brick power supplies only give 100mA per send. I would check this. I was using a smaller wall wart to begin with, and found my board was a little noisy, probably because it was maxing out the power supply, buying a bigger one fixed it.

I purchased a biyang pedal power for my board but haven't put it in there yet, it is not the smallest or lightest power supply, but it has 2 1000mA sends ideal for digital pedals.

I've taken MS 60B put for a spin several times now. By itself, it sounds wonderful. I especially like the acoustic amp simulator with the 160 comp. While I don't think it sounds "just like an Acoustic" it does sound wonderful.

This little box shines combined with my Sansamp BDDI. It now a permanent fixture on my pedal board.

Your settings are terrific!
This old bar/wedding band vet finds them very musical at all my gigs.
I use PBclean almost all the time. That's my default go to setting.
PBolskool nails that 60's/70's Motown/Stax/Soul tone.use it a lot with my horn band. Instant flatwound. Clever use of the defret to get that muted P tone.
Although I'm not a fuzz guy when I filled in with a 60's/70's pop band I used PBfuzz on the break in the Monkees "I'm a Believer".The other guys in the band loved it.

Great job ,Sir! One can tell those settings were put together by a pro!
I love this little box! Should mention that I am tickled when other players ask me "How do you get that out of a Squier?".

Worked great for me off of a OneSpot that was also powering an MXR Micro Amp and a Boss AW-3. No noise problems that I noticed.

The PB patches sound cool enough, but they are all also well above unity gain. That kind of bugs me. I guess if I had a transparent pre and power amp setup they might be great, used as an always on patch, but with my amps I want to be able to defeat the patches. I will work with PBold skool and the reggae one to try and get them close to unity, and maybe try to put the line selector in. But I can see if your using a patch as an always on tone the line selector is not as important. But not having to futz with my amps gain or master volume when engaging a patch is super important to me.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! PBOlSkool is my go-to eq for tons of stuff, especially the old motown and jazz. The fuzz is a bit hot for my taste, but I will be checking out the clean, too. I've just started gigging a Streamliner, and the MS-60b is great at helping me EQ and punch through.

If you happen to read this, would be great to hear a comment or two on why most of the presets are so hot/gain-heavy.

Unfortunately you have to tweak every single patch, it's all way hot. Don't know what they were thinking, what would make you not want everything at unity gain as default? It doesn't take long to correct, but it's an unnecessary annoying thing about the pedal.

Indeed jumble, the PB was the one I thought sounded awesome! Especially with my P. smooth and deep as all get out.

You guys are absolutely not helping my gas at all...

Should I go for the MS60B and assuming I'm keeping the same chain (see sig.):

(1) Would it go at the end, just before the SansAmp ?

(2) If I like the comps in it, I might use them and replace the LMB-3. Would the Zoom then move up forward in the chain, to go after the BEP ?

I think I'll get one. I have a pedal board already, but a MS-60B would be great for gigs (having preprogrammed patches), it would cover all those pedals you didn't buy because you only use them once in a blue moon, and it would mean I have a backup solution for gigs (no matter if I use the pedal board or the MS-60B as my main effects unit).

Placement is up to you kind of depending on what you use it for most, but it looks like in your chain it will be fine in the LMB-3 spot. The compressors are very good, filters and modulation are great...but personally I think the secret power is the mixing and matching of patches for different tones and EQs.

Got a fly in fly out interstate gig in a couple weeks. Not sure at this point what Backline I'll be faced with. I am tempted to just ask for 2 x 12/horn active monitors and a DI, and take only my MS-60B. I am absolutely loving the SVT sim with a BB Pre and 160 comp in front of it when using this pedal stand alone. the SVT with just a little hair, and switching in the Pre for Grit as required.

I used mine last night on my board, in the fx loop of my VT bass deluxe. The synth, Wah, reverb, and Muff all got a run at some stage, still got a couple of levels to sort out. So easy just putting a letter next to all the effects I need, scrolling to the one I want and turning the fx loop on, on the VT Bass Deluxe.
