Oh hell yes!!! The newer effect in the 60b, the Z-Organ, it has an LPF/HPF!!! This is way cool. If I'm thinking I can use it the way I'd like, this could be a very good thing for me. Very pleased atm.

yes! and spring reverb finally.. now my 7 nation army needs are complete!I'm very happy with the new update. It added some really cool reverbs and choruses. It would've been even sweeter if they would've included some things that are in the B3n but I understand if the processor isn't able to handle it. I think it's pretty awesome they offered what they did. And for free no less.
Nice catch Greg !!!!!Oh hell yes!!! The newer effect in the 60b, the Z-Organ, it has an LPF/HPF!!! This is way cool. If I'm thinking I can use it the way I'd like, this could be a very good thing for me. Very pleased atm.
I am working on the same thing to get my MS100bt all loaded up.As much as I've tried to resist since I do not own an Apple device, I broke down and bought an MS-100BT...price was too good to let it pass. Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to load the darned thing![]()
Yeswith this new firmware, Does the MS60B have more effects than the B1on ?
The old version has 58,the new one has 84 additional effects. All together is 142!!!!!
I find that the bass synths work best with the sensitivity turned quite low and benefit paired with a comp before or after and are best for sustained notes. For faster passages I build a sound using multiple effects and I really like to add upper octave to those sounds. So let me add my thanks to this thread. I had no idea there was a firmware upgrade for the MS60B, which is the stomp I use more than any other. Even with a cool pedal board, I rarely take it to gigs and instead take only the MS60B.
I was really pumped to see there's a new synth effect, Vsyn, though I just tried it and it's a dud for me. Too much gimmick and not enough useful (to me) bass synth tone. I'm sure the cab simulators will be useful as the original V1.0 cab sims are the sounds I use most on gigs.
Anyone have a useful bass synth sound to share?
If that is the case I will likely sell my ms100bt and get another 60b. I had planned on keeping it but much prefer the AdrenaLinn III for guitar and piccolo bass.I just got the 100BT and took nearly an hour to go through the whole store downloading all the effects. Just realized it does not include all those in the 60B. Ugh, what a let down! I was hoping to get the new Rat and TS w/blend algorithms.
I'll just have to get a 60b, too, I guess![]()
I made a spreadsheet with side by side comparisons of all the effects on the B3 vs the MS-60B. I believe the "Jet Phase" you mentioned is the PH+Dist (Roland Jet Phaser) on the B3. It is not on the MS-60B presumably because it is a "dual effect". The same is my guess for the Oct+Dist and Awah+Dist. and the Comp+Awah.Bumming because there are some sounds that did not carry over from the B3 - Jet Phase, Bass Big Muff, Metal World, octave distortion and awah + dist, comp+awah. it would be nice to have at least one wah to do a cocked wah sound.
Agreed on all accounts. So this is happening: Invalid Link Removed
So cool! This will take the 70CDR and the 60B to another level in functionality. I just wish the 100bt had a USB port, too.
