Hi, I was wondering... do any of the compressors on the MS60b work like the famous Boss LMB-3 Bass Limiter/Enhancer? That's a very good pedal and I could get a used one for a very good price, but if any of the compressor simulators in the Zoom is just as good, I wouldn't have to buy it!
I'm asking because time is running short and I can't tweak around my Zoom and try for myself... so if someone already knows, please let me know! ;-)

My fave compressor on the zoom is the 160... It works well and is quite transparent...

Having had an LMB3 in the past, IMO, there are at least two compressors that are much better than the LMB3. No they don't function exactly like the boss pedal, but that's not a problem

Yeah, I saw that the controls aren't exactly like the actual Boss pedal, but being a basic compressor/enhancer, I figured there's not too much to tweak... and I was hoping that getting good results (comparable to the LMB-3, let's say) would be easy. If you say the 160 is a good simulator I'm definitely gonna try that first! ;)

I've been playing the B3 stand alone for over a year now. It really works for a lot of stuff, the only thing I don't like is when I added the control footswitch I couldn't select it on the wah pedals and most of the fuzz pedals were not useable to me. So I'm going to build a board around the B3 with a Morley Bass Wah and custom bass fuzz from Lawrence Petross Designs. Is there any issues with running the two in front of the B3? I figure that would be most practical when I run headphones or usb to pc.

I bought a B2.1u 5 years ago when I was formulating the idea of playing bass again. Eventually got into a band, dug it out of its dusty closet and....I have still only scratched the surface of what it can do. I love analog effects but there's no dismissing the sheer convenience of this thing on a gig, and wonder of wonders most of the effects actually sound good. Excellent tuner, killer octave, good filters, a dive bomb a la Bass Whammy....I had no idea what I was buying, but I'm glad I did.
I've only just started programming my own on it. Anybody have any brilliant patch ideas they'd like to share?
