Hi all,
I've just picked up a B3 to join my B2.1u in my little collection.
I think I'll head back to the B3 patches thread for some tips. I look forward to the fun!

Calling @champbassist . I am back to relying on my B2.1u or B2 to anchor my board, spent too long tweaking those sounds to my needs to abandon. Mainly use the B3 and MS60B for recording.
My apologies, I've been checking this group far less than I would like to :-(

Brain picking time if you will indulge me...I'm away from my rig right now but I was listening to some old Cure tunes and was struck by a bit-o-inspiration...has anyone ever hooked up a B2.1u to a yamaha (or any) keyboard? I'm thinking that there would be lots of sonic possibilities to discover if I simply run a cable out of the keys into the pedal and out of the pedal into my keyboard amp.
Any tips/suggestions or pitfalls to be avoided?
I currently seriously under-utilize this pedal on my bass board (mainly use the Jamiroquai- Runaway patch from Mcgiver69 with a couple tweaks) and thought this would be a fun experiment and if it works I would have a reason/excuse to fill that spot on my board with a couple of new to me pedals

The B2 and B2.1u both work great on keys I use them all the time. I really like the resonant wah or filter with flanger with my Hohner Planet T \ Clarinet or Wurlitzer.

Now to find a used Seymour Duncan Studio bass compressor, a Boss blues driver and some type of reverb pedal to replace the B2.1u on my board, will my work never cease

I don't know what would bump the B2 or B2.1u for me, I have spent so much time perfecting my patches. I dread the day they stop working.Thanks for the replies.

Been using a B3 for about 3 years now strictly for amp emulations, preamps, and to tailor the pre EQ of my own amp with it set as flat as I can make it. I'm "old school" so I don't need or use the myriad of effects live but it's nice to have them if I ever need them for recording. Live they'd just be an annoyance.
As far as I'm concerned that box is at least as valuable to me as my basses and my amp. I have about 5-6 amp and cab emulations optimized for my rig and depending on the genre of music played and the room all I have to do is select one or two to use, do a minor tweak or two in the settings and I'm good to go. It sits on the amp itself so I'm not even using it as a floor pedal just a set and forget preamp.
I've been co-hosting some casual jams with a good friend of mine for years using his smaller 50w Ampeg BA112 because we needed limit the volume of the bass in his old place in order to remain neighbor friendly. That amp worked fine there but in his new place with a much larger rehearsal space and a full drum kit it really lacked the needed volume, bottom end, and punch to be heard well twenty feet away with a full band.
A few weeks ago we did a jam with a couple others we're planning some gigs with soon so I brought along the B3 to boost his anemic BA112 and set it up on the SVT emulation. Boom.....bass all day. My buddy was all over it asking me where I got it, how much they cost, and where to get one. I was just playing my PBass and his amp wasn't even wide open yet it sounded like a rig twice it's size. I was even impressed.
I have no need for the newer B3n. Mine does all I need it to and it's by far the best bang for the buck add on I've ever used on a bass rig.

I’ve owned a b3n for a few months now and I think it’s easily the best sounding multieffect Zoom has ever put out.
I bought a used B2 earlier this year; $50 on my local Craigslist. At the time I liked the idea of getting a tuner, compressor, Marshall Plexi-ish preamp, noise reduction and some flexible EQ choices all in one box, and figured that if the amp models or something didn't do it for me, it was still a good deal if it would work out as just a tuner, or EQ.
I was happy to discover that I like a few of its amp models and I like the Marshall Superbass model enough that it's all I use. I have one always-on patch consisting of mild compression, Superbass on low gain, noise reduction, graphic EQ cutting some lows and boosting some mids. It easily drives my old Peavey rack power amp into DDT compression and it runs long enough on the 4 AA batteries that I don't bother with the wall wart.
I can get sounds I like out if it for my guitar and lap steel too. My other amps are on vacation, maybe indefinitely. I'd like to try an MS60B sometime, but I like the B2 enough that I'd probably buy another used one as a backup. Great litte unit.

Agreed on the B2/B2.1u, as evidenced by my many (too many, perhaps) posts, it is just the perfect tool for much of my needs. I will say that the improvements in the B3 and MS60B are much appreciated as far as added available effects and higher quality with more parameters.
This is a response to the dream effect not made yet, will just leave this here.....
For me it would be Zoom updating the B2.1u platform to include the updated effects, amps and parameters of the MS60B or B3. Adding an additional and assignable effect slot or two and an assignable external effects loop or two and a switchable line\Mic level stereo DI would be sheer Perfection.
