Nope, Chuck the SugarMan and wife were cookin up a storm. Now realize, in order to get 1 gallon of pure maple syrup it is usually a 40 to 1 ratio. 40 gallons of sap boiled down makes 1 gallon of syrup. It takes a lot of stiring, steaming, lots of wood for the fire. Not a simple task for a...

I do know it is sugaring season in Maine and the maple sap is running. If Chuck is doing sugaring and I think he is it is a process you can't just walk away from. Could be he is up at his sugar shack, boiling and stirring up a steam storm ;););)

This is strictly a guess but the only avtive passive basses I have seen by Chuck have six pots and must be routed and drilled for such. I don't think you could use push pull pots and I don't know if he uses a circuit preamp board built into the body control cavity. If any of that is accurate it...

Super nice birds-eye maple on the neck. About the nicest I have seen on any instrument. The lines on that bass design are like a sculpture, I love the flow and balance of the whole instrument. Nice work Chuck and good talking with you the other day.

Very striking looking guitar. Flawless work as usual. Now as weird as I am if I ordered that bass I would ask Chuck to tape off the thumb rest and leave it natural wood with maybe a dark stain on it to set it off. I always seem to go off the beaten path just a little :-)
