Warwick Streamer Pro M (made in Germany) - do I want it?

I bought a 1997 Streamer Pro M in October for a little under $1500. (GC had a 10% off used sale, and this had been hanging for a while) The early Pro M’s came with Wenge necks and a brass JAN 1 nut, which is a big selling point. I put a broken in set of LaBella Deep Talking Gold Flat’s on the...

What should I do with my Fortress?

Geezers, I put Geezers on my 93 Fortress (passive) four string and have an old set of chromes on it. It is what I grab when a thumpy four string is needed

Fretted Electric Bass for Jazz Standards

Over the past 3 years, I have tried several of my basses, including my EUB, playing in our local "Big Band". My fav is an old Warwick Fortress One, passive, EMG Geezer P/J pups, strung with broken in Chrome flats. Sounds great in the mix with all that brass!

I am assuming the P-Tone's are the same. After switching the positions of the original pups, the only issues we had were solved by switching the positive and negative leads on the P-Tone going to the Std 3 PU switch (not D-Bird). Works like a champ!

Cool - and nice pickguard! Did you cut it or have it made? It was made by WD Music and fitted by my Luthier, Brooks Cobb, who also installed the P-Tone. I am extremely happy with the overall upgrade and completely understand why Dingwall is simplifying the NG-2 to -3 upgrade!

We got this configuration to work after about three attempts on my 2017 NG-2 . First, switch the original bridge pu to the middle and the neck to the bridge. Wire the P-Tone in reverse to the instructions. Fixes phase issues. Good Luck!

I have Luminlays installed on two of my gigging basses. I love them even though they start fading immediately. I keep the charger in my pocket and recharge the dots between songs as needed. Will probably add them to my NG-2, although the Maple Board provides better visual contrast then...

And the finished product! Thanks to Luthier Brooks Cobb, for the install of P-Tone and custom snakeskin pick guard from WD Music. Thanks to Jeff at Dingwall support for guidance! Sounds amazing!

Here's a photo showing the strap tuck. Neck dive not an issue either way. Correcting body tilt has more to do with the size of my "beer gut" then the bass.
