I never thought of getting a 3D mold. The mold is the part of this that makes me the most anxious!

There was talk of DR Low riders not having enough tension on the neck. Not sure how true it is. Can't say I ever noticed any changes with my neck for the 12ish years I used nickel low riders.

@Funksquatch1020 - Like you I was also inspired to use xtenders on other strings thanks to Mr. Manring! I only wound up doing it on my high string to switch between A#/C. I can't recall his name but one of the guys at Hipshot machined a custom bushing and sent it to me for free when I explained...

With the pau ferro fb is it still able to get the 'hi-fi" sound) clarify of a Modulus or is it trading that off for the growl?

Thanks for the info. I checked out a few and yeah, definitely prefer the regular Mod neck.

How would you describe the sound as someone who's owned them? I haven't known anyone or seen anyone with a Genesis. Back when they were introduced I shrugged them off because I loved the Quantum tone as is.

Gotta love anyone with a Distressor in their rack! I usually use that or an API in the studio depending on the project.

Yeah, that's wild. I'm tempted to swap out my strings and see if I notice any difference in the next couple weeks. I did instantly throw Lo Riders on it when I got mine so maybe I didn't notice since it's 'always' been that way? Curious if @GeoffGould has heard of this before with either Mods...
