Southampton Fifth Gear. The V1 has only one knob so its casing is smaller. Great for mild overdrive. The V2 is more akin to the standard pedal casing, as it has three knobs. I only have the original one knob version, but either one is exactly what you're looking for.

My Ictineo and v1 Fifth Gear are what make my tone. Love them.

What don't you like about the PPB into the Ictineo, or PPB into 5th gear into the Ictineo? Great board by the way!

I love the sound of a fifth gear into the ictineo. I wonder what it would sound like with a phat phuk into a fifth gear (or vice versa) into the ictineo?

Any one have experience with Ernie Ball hybrid slinky's, and DR sunbeams or DR black beauties, and how they compare?

I've been using the Ernie Ball Nickel Wound Slinky bass strings for a while. I like the way they feel and sound when they are fresh, but they seem to die after about a month or so of playing.

Here's my new board. Replaced a mini spark booster, and VT bass DI with the new Ictineo preamp. Everything sounded clear last night at practice. Was my first time with the new pedal and was a tad nervous since we had a service for our church planting week before practice, and so wasn't quite...

Got mine in on Monday, and tonight was the first chance I got to play through it. My sound in the mix has never been better! Each note has clarity that I was never able to get with previous pedal boards. What a great pedal!

I think so. Got an email not too long ago from the Canada Post with the "Confirmation of Shipment Details for Item." Can't wait for it to get here!

That's what I did. Ordered an Ictineo as well, and have a Radial Pro48 active DI box coming. Hopefully my preamp and DI needs will be solved with this combo.

Yeah, I'm actually debating whether I need a full-on preamp with DI option, or a good tone shaping pedal to go into a radial DI box. I'm really liking the tone I get from my diamond compressor into my v1 fifth gear, but would like a bit more tone shaping capabilities, especially with the mid range.

I don't know what to do haha. Looking at preamps, and while the mesa subway bass di looks good, this has got my attention really bad!

What do you think of the subway bass di?
